Product Details

Flex

Mixed Glassing is a triax over biax lay-up that’s best for versatile on-mountain and park riding. Medium Shadow Flex (mountain/park performance) is a slight tapered thinning of the core profile between the bindings, this improves: turn and spin initiation; tracking in mixed conditions, on the flats, and during landings; and performance on rails, boxes, and naturals.

Construction and Core

Bamboo Power Ply topsheets are made from bamboo, which is the most renewable, sustainable building material available today. Bamboo also delivers that clean, zen flavor. The Mystic core is the most bomber core for aggressive mountain and park riding, built using FSC certified poplar that’s reinforced with bamboo along its rails for improved initiation and landing durability. Bamboo is one of the strongest materials on the planet. It has 40 times the effective life of carbon fiber and provides 60% more return than traditional core materials. Bamboo’s tensile strength and weight to strength ratio are superior to steel; yet bamboo is light, flexible, and resistant to compression.

Base

The Rocket Base is a higher molecular weight, wax infused, sintered base that provides unmatched durability and speed.

Sidewalls, Edges and Shape

Rhythm Rails are made from an advanced blend of ABS and urethane; that deliver durability, a clean, acoustically damp ride, and solid edge performance. The unblended progressive sidecut is Arbor’s unblended tri-radial sidecut technology, better known as “Grip Tech.”

Comments about Arbor Coda Snowboard 2011:

So the Arbor Coda has it all this year. It is one of those boards that you don't ever want to give up. Amazing response and feel along with a stiffness that will get you anywhere you need to go. Its truely one of the best All-Mountain boards out there. Very lightweight, yet stiff as a board at high speeds. Good twin shape for any type of freestyle riding you want to throw down, but mostly for big mountain freestyle. I wouldn't recommend the board to anyone who wants to spend most of their day in the park, but if you want to blow through there a couple times just for kicks, this board will not hold you back at all. It also has some new contact points on the heel and toe side by your bindings that really kick you into turns when you want them to. They aren't grippy or anything so it only happens when you want it to. You barely have to lean into your turn and you are carving in no time. Leaves you more time to plan out your next turn and really focus on the mountain. I love it!

Comments about Arbor Coda Snowboard 2011:

I was able to go from my regular cambered board to the Coda this season, and I was not disappointed in the least. The first few runs, the rocker took a little getting used to (it almost felt slippery), but once I got the hang of it, I was able to throw the board around so much easier than my old board.

I live in SoCal, so it's usually on hard-packed groomers, but we also hit up Mammoth a few weeks ago, and this thing just floated on the 3 feet of fresh pow. Can't say enough, I love this board!

Comments about Arbor Coda Snowboard 2011:

I just picked this board up last week and I'm thoroughly impressed with its performance so far. Coming off my my Nitro Suprateam (a stiff camber board that wasn't especially playful), I was looking for a better flex profile, better powder float and a more playful, laid back feel. I never go in the park, but I wanted a board that can still comfortably spin 360s off rocks and handle natural jumps, cornice drops, etc. After spending an hour at Evo discussing boards, I was finally pointed towards the Coda. The rocker profile is so much better in choppy and soft snow, and powder float is incredible compared to my Nitro. The board is super fun to carve all over the mountain and the quick turning is awesome in the trees. Its not quite as composed as my Nitro at charging down groomers, but that was expected with the reverse camber, and its superior to the Nitro in every other way. Not to mention the graphics are sick. I've been riding for 11 years and I can conclusively say this is the best board I've owned. Its not as fast as a camber board on groomers and its not going to perform as well as a dedicated powder board in powder, but I was looking for one board that I could ride every day of the season and never feel like I'm held back. Looks like I found the one.

Comments about Arbor Coda Snowboard 2011:

I really realized this year that I didn't want to be a park rat, so I really wanted a really fun all mountain board. I probably go up 50+ days a year, and I am so glad i got this board. I got it in the 157 and I love it. It holds its edge really well, and with the reverse camber and bamboo, it just floats through the powder with o so much ease. It is super lighweight, and like I said, if you are looking for a board to have a really fun time playing all around on the mountain with, then I would definitely tell you to get this board.
