With adjustable thermal liners and a new flex control system that allows for customizable adjustment, the Vans Veil Snowboard Boots can be ridden in the park or when exploring backcountry. With the addition of three BOA® dials and a partnership with POW (Protect Our Winters), the fit and function of these boots' footprint have never been more beneficial.

Product Details

Flex

Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff)5-7, a nice medium to stiff flex for a rider who wants the best of comfort and support.

Flex Control SystemRemovable tongue stiffeners allow riders to custom tune their boot flex. Keep them both in for maximum support, use just one to provide either increased lateral or medial response, or remove them entirely for a softer flexing boot. Over the course of a season as your boots soften up you can add the tongue stiffeners back in, giving them new life.

Medial Instep Flex ZoneAllows for more forgiving medial flex and natural articulation while maintaining lateral support.

Fit

Pleasure CuffIs designed to allow for the cuff of the boot to adjust to all range of calf sizes providing a comfortable and forgiving fit.

Liner

QuadFit Custom X Thermal Liner with OutlastFeatures a dual-density, heat-moldable core with Adjustable X-Cage for custom fit and exterior overlay support cage. The liner also features direction connect hook and loop system that prevents liner movement, closed seam, brushed fleece puff cuff, outlast temperature management, directional anti-slip heel pocket, open cell foam interior cushioning layer and foam comfort flex toe box.

Lacing System

BOA® FocusFeatures two reels that operate three specific zones of closure for the ultimate in custom closure adjustment. All instep components have been eliminated to allow for the addition of asymmetrical articulation that provides additional flex to the medial side while maintaining lateral support and response.

Full Liner Harness and OTW Lace LockAttaching the internal harness to the liner allows for customizable fit and support while the OTW Lace Lock insures the harness maintains the desired tension.

Footbed

V4 Footbeds with OutlastFeatures a high-rebound EVA foundation, injection-molded multi-arch support. Overmolded cork/recycled EVA heat moldable arch support cradle, dual-density metatarsal and heel impact relief gel pads, airflow perforations and an outlast treated topsheet.

Sole

Pro-Flex OutsoleProgressive flex tread pattern gradually decreases stiffness from heel to toe with inverted waffle tread pattern. Constructed with Vans special tacky rubber blend and light weight die-cut EVA mid sole for skate like feel.

Additional Features

RECCO® Avalanche Rescue SystemThis technology enables rapid directional pinpointing of a victim's precise location using harmonic radar. The two-part system consists of a RECCO® detector used by organized recue groups, and RECCO® reflectors that is permanently affixed, require no training for use,and needs no batteries to function.

POW (Protect Our Winters) OrganizationVans is partnered with POW, working on more sustainable product construction methods and helping promote awareness of the threat that global climate change represents to the future of winter sports. Comments about Vans Veil Snowboard Boots - Women's 2012:

I have really skinny ankles so these boots and their lacing system were PERFECT to finally have complete control of my board. Great for anyone with similar issues!!!

They are pretty bulky I had I extend my bindings to fit the boots but it was worth it for the perfect fit. They are also nice and warm!

Comments about Vans Veil Snowboard Boots - Women's 2012:

I tried four different boots before I found these. I like my boots stiff and tight, and these offer that. But they are also super customizable. You can take out up to four inserts and increase flexibility, and also adjust four pieces that help hold your heel down.

i have yet to hit the slopes with the veils, but so far they are a perfect fit, very comfortable, zero heel lift. i bought them half a size smaller (26cm) than my usual shoe size (26.5cm) and they were a perfect fit with snowboarding socks.

Comments about Vans Veil Snowboard Boots - Women's 2012:

I bought this based on feedback from thegoodride.com. They are a great choice but let me tell you it takes some adjustment for the shoes to conform to your foot. After 3 - 4 days of boarding these boots are a great purchase. When I went to the store the guy helped me with how to properly tighten my boots. Great store and site!
