Vans Cirro BOA Snowboard Boots 2012

Top notch and ready to prove it, the Vans Cirro BOA Snowboard Boots feature the best in ultimate custom fit options and tunable flex capabilities. We can’t decide which feature puts the Cirro over the top; whether it’s the RECCO® avalanche rescue system, the V4 footbeds that allows optimal arch support, airflow and dampening, the QuadFit Custom X Thermal liner that woks with the Vans BOA® Focus for great temperature management and perfect fit, the Cirro boots have it all. Hallelujah!
Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 7-9, stiffer for the more advanced rider
Flex Control System - Removable tongue stiffeners allow riders to custom tune their boot flex. Keep them both in for maximum support, use just one to provide either increased lateral or medial response, or remove them entirely for a softer flexing boot. Over the course of a season as your boots soften up you can add the tongue stiffeners back in, giving them new life.
Instep Flex Zone - Allows for more forgiving medial flex and natural articulation while maintaining lateral support.
Liner
QuadFit Custom X Thermal Liner with Outlast - Features a dual-density, heat-moldable core with Adjustable X-Cage for custom fit and exterior overlay support cage. The liner also features direction connect hook and loop system that prevents liner movement, closed seam, brushed fleece puff cuff, outlast temperature management, directional anti-slip heel pocket, open cell foam interior cushioning layer and foam comfort flex toe box.
Lacing System
BOA® Focus - Features two reels that operate three specific zones of closure for the ultimate in custom closure adjustment. All instep components have been eliminated to allow for the addition of asymmetrical articulation that provides additional flex to the medial side while maintaining lateral support and response.
Full Liner Harness and OTW Lace Lock - Attaching the internal harness to the liner allows for customizable fit and support while the OTW Lace Lock insures the harness maintains the desired tension.
Footbed
V4 Footbeds with Outlast - Features a high-rebound EVA foundation, injection-molded multi-arch support. Overmolded cork/recycled EVA heat moldable arch support cradle, dual-density metatarsal and heel impact relief gel pads, airflow perforations and an outlast treated topsheet.
Sole
OTW Lite Outsole with ImpactSorb® Dampening - Majority EVA construction for lightweight performance. Featuring aggressive perimeter tacky rubber lug pattern for maximum traction in wet and slippery conditions, and an internal power plate for increased turning response. There is an ImpactSorb® dampening cassette in the heel, and the whole skate-style silhouette is for a low-profile board feel.
Additional Features
RECCO® Avalanche Rescue System - This technology enables rapid directional pinpointing of a victim's precise location using harmonic radar. The two-part system consists of a RECCO® detector used by organized recue groups, and RECCO® reflectors that is permanently affixed, require no training for use,and needs no batteries to function.
POW (Protect Our Winters) Organization - Vans is partnered with POW, working on more sustainable product construction methods and helping promote awareness of the threat that global climate change represents to the future of winter sports. Proceeds from the sale of this boot will go to the POW organization to fund environmental and educational programs that share the common goal of protecting our winters for current and future generations to enjoy.

Comments about Vans Cirro BOA Snowboard Boots 2012:

Get these boots in the spring so you can break them in with warm weather.

Also, make sure to try several different options (the C sides and the front stiffiners). This will give you a better idea of everything.

Also, re-adjust your bindings to these boots. I like to ride more of a back mtn steep slopes but these boots it was still easy to mess around in the park. I'm an avid skier also, so maybe I just like a stiff boot.
