Salomon Optima Snowboard Boots - Women's 2011 – If Valdez AK seems like the perfect winter getaway then the Salomon Optima Snowboard Boots are for you. Built for fierce moves at high speeds, the Optima is the most responsive boot in the Salomon women’s line. The asymmetrical flex helps power energy into your turns and the Spring Outsole grips through Billy Goat style traverses. Just grab your pass and go.
Flex Rating: 8 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff)
The stiff flex rating of 8 is also Asymmetrical, promising increased response and natural mobility through the asym combination of a more rigid, higher lateral panel and a lower, softened medial panel.
The Full Custom Fit Pro foam is heat moldable, multi-density foam throughout the entire liner with removable ankle inserts for an even more customized hold. The Comform’able Footbed is a pre-shaped footbed with foot stabilization and patented arch flex support for improved pressure distribution and an immediate fit.
Power Liner locks your heel down with unique anatomical architecture that Salomon likes to call the King of Support, because nothing rules over this Full Customfit, multi density liner, and removable ankle inserts allow for increased supportive lock surrounding your ankle and your own customized flex pattern. Powerlace Pro, in the meantime, gives you fine-tuned tightening at unmatched speeds.
The ultralight Spring outsole is soft where your foot needs to flex and stiffer on the sides for stability and balance. Dual density EVA with thin rubber side stabilizers deliver dampening and transmission on the stiffest hits for so you can go bigger and better. Toasty Toes gets some fur on your feet that’s warm, functional and oh so comfortable.

Comments about Salomon Optima Snowboard Boots - Women's 2011:
The lacing system is pretty simple can get a tight fit. The boots are very comfortable and warm. I would like it to have the Boa system instead but they were much more comfortable than the top of the line Burton boots that I tried on. The only downside is that they are BIG boots so you have to get bigger bindings. My last Burtons were the same way - must be with the padding for the warmth.
