Product Details

Flex Rating and Fit

Flex Rating: 7 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff)

The Salomon Kiana Snowboard Boots feature a slightly stiffer flex rating of 7 for the lady boarder who wants a little more response in their boot.

Construction

Custom Fit foam is heat moldable and allows you customized adaptation in the shin area, the Mystic Footbed (Level 3 in the Kiana boots) uses reflexology to relieve tension and improve blood circulation for happy feet during the day and all through the night, and Reflex construction makes the boot move naturally from heel to calf, just like you do.

Liner and Lacing

The Salomon Kiana Snowboard Boots feature a Liner Balance level of 2; Salomon’s Liner Balance features 4 levels of construction based on the same design philosophy that displaces liner lace pressure from the top of your foot, around the key holding areas of the arch and above the heel while tightening the liner lace to wrap the ankle both firmly and comfortably around, rather than on top, of the foot. Powerlace Pro, in the meantime, gives you fine-tuned tightening at unmatched speeds.

Special Features

Injected EVA structure, an ultra soft compressed EVA heel counter, and fore foot energy pods comes together to strike the perfect balance between response and absorption in the Zero G outsole. Toasty Toes gets some fur on your feet that’s warm, functional and oh so comfortable.

Comments about Salomon Kiana Snowboard Boots - Women's 2011:

The kiana is awesome if you have a narrow foot, which I do. Had thirty two's last season and packed them out pretty quick, but the kianas have stayed a pretty solid fit for my feet. I bought them a half size smaller than i usually would for snowboard boots and the fit is perfect after a couple times out! The lacing system is pretty easy to adjust but if you're riding aggressively you'll definitely have to adjust throughout the day (which i've had to do with most boots anyways). They're super comfy and definitely a little more flexible than my thirty-two's, which I like but wouldn't suggest if you're looking for a super stiff boot! The only downsides to this boot is that my feet get cold easier, and for some reason i notice my feet sweat more than previously making it a little more slippery in the boot. If you're riding in milder weather though (ive been in -10 to -30 celsius days) then you might not find the cold toe issue! I would still strongly reccommend the kianas to anyone, especially if you have narrow feet, as i've already gotten 20+ days with them and still lovin them!

Comments about Salomon Kiana Snowboard Boots - Women's 2011:

Comfortable but the lacing system isn't as easy as some other new boots I have tried. I wear 7 to 7.5 size womens shoes and got a 7.5 here which fit perfectly

Comments about Salomon Kiana Snowboard Boots - Women's 2011:

The Kiana boot is an amazing boot for someone with a really narrow foot, it really holds your foot nice ans snug in the boot and actually kept my feet really dry and warm, the only thing is that the lacing system isn't the greatest- it's kinda hard to get undone with cold hands on the slopes. overall great.
