The women's-specific custom-form liner molds to feminine feet, a Biocage structure does away with heel lift, and Salomon’s Powerlace system–which cinches tight with a single pull–saves fingers from hassling with knots. The Kiana Boot has got pretty accent colors; a grippy snowflower sole and an integrated faux diamond accent add hints of eye-catching style that satisfy slightly girlier taste.

    I had Salomon Ivy's previously but misplaced them and needed new boots. i actually bought the burton emeralds but found that the lacing system was not stiff enough. They were tight when you put them on but after a few runs, they would loosen up. The Kiana's are great, they're warm, easy to tighten, salomon slimmed down the boot so they fit easily into burton bindings (i have the escapade or whatever its called). They're super comfortable and really easy to get on and off. the only gripe i have about them is that the lacing system has a clip that you are suppose to clip the excess laces to the side of your boot. this has slipped off a couple of times when i'm riding and i almost tripped up on my board but caught it ontime. salomon needs to design a pocket on the side like the burton boots to stick the excess laces into. i'm an intermediate/advanced rider.

    The 2008 Model has been upgraded making it more comfortable and easier to lace. The quatlity of the construction of the 2008 also seems better than the 2007. I couldn't find the 08 model in my size so I bought the 2007.
