Your boss has finally given you the go ahead to take this season off work and you’re gonna spend every second on the mountain even if it kills you. And with all the moldable foam, the Salomon F22W Snowboard Boots will fit like they were custom made.

  • Flex:7 - Versatile (medium-stiff)
  • Powerlace Pro Soft & One Pull Quicklace:Adding fluidity to power thanks to its all-new blocking system, the Powerlace Pro Soft has all the benefits of the Powerlace Pro. With the One Pull Quick Lace, all you need is one pull from the handle and the lace locks automatically. To unlace just pull the lace forward away from you and the lace pops free from the locking mechanism, loosening the liner.
  • Fusion Low:A radically new construction, which redistributes the EVA and rubber compounds. Features a hidden midsole, and an EVA forefoot window foa unique low profile look. 16% lighter, with maximum shock protecting ADIPRENE compound.
  • Autofit Self 2:The combination of Self 2 Reflex & Autofit! All the Self 2 properties combined with the self-molding foam of Autofit. Integrated Active Tongue: A PU inserted tongue customizes your fit in the simplest way possible; the more you tighten your laces, the stiffer your boot flex becomes.
  • Aerogels Insulation:Aspen Aerogel is part of a unique family of materials called nanoporous solids or frozen smoke. Used by NASA and gas companies to insulate deep Alaskan pipelines, it’s as tech as it gets.

I love this boot! It's warm, comfortable and really stylish. The two issues I have with them are small: the boot is a little too tight on my left pinkie toe (could be my own anatomy?) and the lacing is a tad time consuming. However once all is laced up, I have no complaints. I love the arch support which keeps me riding all day. The insulation is comfortable as well. Also, it's warm enough to be out from 10am-7pm in 14 degree F weather without getting even the tiniest bit chilly. It took no time to break in and I can see using this boot FOREVER! I almost forgot... the boot is made a little smaller than typical snowboard boots, so there is no toe catching when you're on your front edge.

I was very excited to receive my boots, I wore them that night around the house and was stoked about the fit. First day on the mountain, I could barely walk by the end of the day because of 2 rubbing spots. One on the right outside heel and one on the left longest 2 middle toes. The stiff boot makes my heels slip more than expected because I have very narrow feet. But my biggest complaint is the lace puller has no holder and I have not found a place on the boot where I attach it and it does not fall off. Any suggestions would be great but not digging them right now. Have worn them about 5 times now and still same complaints.

    Comments about Salomon F22W Snowboard Boots - Women's 2009:

I used these after having a step-in set up for about 10 years, they are so much more comfortable--my calves and feet feel great after riding all day both downhill and in the park. The only complaint I have is the lacing loosens up a lot and I had to retighten them 3 times during the day. But even that was pretty easy because they use the pull lacing system.

    Comments about Salomon F22W Snowboard Boots - Women's 2009:

I like this boot. I wanted a stiff boot and this one is great for that. However, it's so stiff that it's hard to get them on and off. Or, I have abnormally large feet. Anyway, if you go with friends they can help you get them off and it's fine. Also, there are these little brush things inside where the heel is that I wasn't expecting but aren't a problem if you wear socks.

The boots are really comfy and super warm! I tried on a few other brands, and found these boots to the the most comfortable. I have wide feet, but small frame, so I need lots of ankle support. It's a great boot and although it doesn't have that easy turn lace system that other boots have, their system works just as well. I am really happy I got these!!

        Comments about Salomon F22W Snowboard Boots - Women's 2009:

I have the same boots in mens, and got them for my gf, who had been using the same pair for seven seasons.

What can I say about these boots that hasn't been said already? They're warm, comfortable, lightweight, responsive, and well-constructed.

One thing to be careful of is the small footprint... these are not necessarily narrow on the foot, but they're narrow in the binding. If your bindings are already a little too big for your boot, you may have issues (but you can probably adjust your straps). The good news, though, is that the small footprint makes them great for walking and very responsive on the mountain.

Do yourself a favor and wear thin socks. Everyone seems to favor giant old-school wool socks, but you're best off for moisture control and overall fit to go with something like work socks.

I was about fed up with lacing systems that just won't stay tight and wanted to get the old shool manual lace. The price was right, with great reviews, and they look awesome so i took a chance and bought these anyway. These fit like they were made for me and they're very comfortable. They stay put. They feel great and super cute to boot. Highly recommended!

          Comments about Salomon F22W Snowboard Boots - Women's 2009:

I've used this boot for two seasons now, 3-5 days a week & it's still in great shape. The more use, the greater the lining will mold to the shape of your foot so make sure to get the correct size! I experienced a little bit of breaking in pain for about 2 weeks until they started to feel better.

The only cons are a little bit of heel slippage (narrow ankles), the difficulty of trying to lace the boots when my hands are freezing, & if the inside happens to become damp they are difficult to dry out because the lining isn't removable. The latter is really only an issue if you ride days in a row.

Now, why I love the F22's .... they are really stiff which allows for greater responsiveness from your board, and, that stiffness made it possible for me to still ride despite having a severely sprained ankle!

          Comments about Salomon F22W Snowboard Boots - Women's 2009:

So they are absolutely FANTASTIC boots, but my right foot falls asleep in them ALL THE TIME. Even after an hour of boarding, my right foot is dead (I ride goofy).
I had a half day lesson and came off the mountain, and walked around for around half an hour to try and get my foot some blood, and my foot swelled up and I limped back to the car.

I'm not sure what about the boot makes my foot fall asleep, but other than that they are really awesome!

          GREAT lacing system!!! genious!

            Comments about Salomon F22W Snowboard Boots - Women's 2009:

These boots are awesome. They are super stiff and make turning really easy. I have never gotten such responsiveness out of my board. No more jump turns on the steeps, now i can turn without much effort. I used to wear 32s, which are notoriously wide, and theses boots have convinced me that the equipment u have really does affect your riding because its THAT much better. Only downside is that they aren't too cushy on the bottom, but I got used to that pretty quickly.
