Salomon F22 Snowboard Boots 2011 – Slim shape and beefy support make the Salomon F22 Snowboard Boots the boots to beat this season. Salomon’s Fusion Construction has gained a cult following thanks to their low profile, size-reducing shape, their slightly narrow fit and unsurpassed heel hold and due to an increase in board feel and response. Progressive flex and a Copper Outsole turn response into less than a thought.
Flex Rating and Fit
Flex Rating: 8 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff)
The Salomon F22 Snowboard Boots feature a stiff, progressive flex rating of 8 for the ultimate responsive boot.
Construction
The Comform’able footbed is pre-shaped with foot stabilization and patented arch flex support for improved pressure distribution and an immediate fit. Self Gel Plus conforms to the shape of your foot throughout the day, so as your foot changes, the foam does, and the foam is used throughout the ankle and shin area.
Liner and Lacing
The Fusion Exhale Liner lets your foot breathe with mesh channels and one way valves that flush out humidity by using the natural motion of your feet to circulate and channel air out of your liner and boot, resulting in feet that are always dry and always warm. Powerlace Pro, in the meantime, gives you fine-tuned tightening at unmatched speeds.
Special Features
The integrated active tongue customizes your fit in the simplest way possible; the more you tighten your laces, the stiffer your boot flex becomes, which means no more triple knotting to get that perfect fit. Meanwhile the Copper outsole turns response into less than a thought.

Comments about Salomon F22 Snowboard Boots 2011:

This boot is a good choice for narrow or high-arch feet. It offers all the support needed by the expert aggressive freerider. I ride hard. I ride all sorts of terrains but mostly blacks and double-blacks, and I am demanding. The boot allows great control of the board. It is responsive. Because it is very compact, it allows you to ride narrower boards without changing your foot position, ... if you like to ride narrower boards. So far, I have ridden it about 30 times and the boot hasn't shown any sign of flex softening or other deterioration. It dries quickly. I wear it with thin socks, and so far, my feet have not been cold - but I ride in the Cascades where temperatures are rarely extreme. I do not know how well it would do in temps below 10F.

Comments about Salomon F22 Snowboard Boots 2011:

The thing I love most about Salomon boots are their lacing system. There is no better lacing system out their for snowboarding boots - at least not for me. It's very easy and quick to tighten and loosen both the inner lining and boot. Had a pair of Malamutes before and the F22s are much softer (more flex) and lighter. Unless it's powder day, I spent 95% of my time in the park (mostly jumps and pipe with some rails and boxes). If it's a powder day, then I'm free riding and in the trees all day. Boots are perfect for my level and style of riding (intermediate). I spend all day in my boots - usually first or second chair until lifts are closed with a 5-10 minute lunch and the boots are comfy all day. Reason for not giving them 5 stars is that I have a slight pinch/rub on my right ankle, but I will attribute that to me and break in. Otherwise, everything is perfect.
