Salomon F22 Snowboard Boots 2012: The Salomon F22 Snowboard Boots feature Fusion construction that reduces your footprint and maximizes board feel. Larger foot-size riders no longer need to choose between good flex and good fit. Salomon’s Exhale liner provides both and gives you something no other fused liner/shell boot can provide - breathing room. Lace it all up solid with the single-pull Powerlace Pro.
Flex Rating and Fit
The Salomon F22 Snowboard Boots have a flex rating of 8 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff) making them a responsive boot that still has a good amount of cushioning for your feet. This is a progressive snowboard boot for riders looking to take their skills to the next level.
Construction
Fusion construction is low profile and eliminates all toe and heel drag.
The Copper outsole features the shock protecting ADIPRENE™ compound for maximum toe feel and an impact-absorbing heel cushion. This outsole is also 40% lighter, so you can be quicker on your feet and on your board.
Liner and Lacing
Powerlace Pro lacing system is one of the first auto locking systems in snowboarding. To tighten you simply pull once through the center of the boot tongue to lace and lock your boot
The LCG (Lower Center of Gravity ) Fusion Exhale liner is engineered to connect the liner and upper materials for the best fit out there. It keeps your liner from wearing down with a one-way breathable valve to push air pressure out. This liner also features Self Gel dynamic fit foam that conforms and changes with your foot.
Special Features
Conform’able footbed that is pre-shaped with foot stabilization and patented arch flex support for improved pressure distribution.

Comments about Salomon F22 Snowboard Boots 2012:

This boot fits like a glove, especially for narrow foot riders; no pressure points for riding all day in comfort. This boot was a replacement for my ancient Vans Fargo as I wanted stiff boots. The F22 is very stiff to the point of being hard to ride at slower speeds and tight terrain where slightly more flex would help alot. However, this is an excellent boot for carving hard. If you like to go fast all day this is your boot; if you hang in in the park look for another boot.

Comments about Salomon F22 Snowboard Boots 2012:

I have owned many pair of Salomon snowboard boots over the past 20 years, Malmutes, F24s, etc. I bought a new pair of F22's at the beginning of the 2011/12 season, but the profile of the boot is too big to fit my GNU Agro bindings (size 12 boot). I recommend the F22 for intermediate riders with shoe size of 10 or smaller, otherwise the profile of the boot may be too big for the bindings. I returned the F22s and exchanged them for a pair of Salomon F4.0 boots. After using the F4.0's about 15 times, these boots are awesome. The lacing system is simple and very effective. No cables, or too many moving parts that can break, just simple and efficient.
