Salomon Dialogue Select Snowboard Boots 2009: Working on the design since 1996, Salomon is constantly tweaking, adjusting and adding new features to their Dialogue Select Snowboard Boots. This year the Dialogue Select comes with an easy to use wash and wear liner making it as easy as washing your favorite T and avoiding the age old problem of super stinky boots after one season. Pro tested and approved, the Salomon Dialogue Select Snowboard Boots are made from heat moldable foam so you have not only the ultimate in comfort but the maximum in foothold power. Drop in, hit it hard, and never have achy ankles again with the Salomon Dialogue Select Snowboard Boot.

  • Flex:6 - Medium
  • Powerlace Pro soft & One Pull Quicklace:Adding fluidity to power thanks to its all-new blocking system, the Powerlace Pro Soft has all the benefits of the Powerlace Pro. With the One Pull Quick Lace, all you need is one pull from the handle and the lace locks automatically. To unlace just pull the lace forward away from you and the lace pops free from the locking mechanism, loosening the liner.
  • Wash and Wear:A new process using new materials & specific construction that doesn’t require glue, making the liner easy to wash. No more stinky feet!
  • Biocage Liner:A classic centered liner construction delivering precise calf to toe envelopment, optimal foothold and support. Dolby: 15% lighter, with instant rider response. Features the shock protecting ADIPRENE compound.
  • Custom Fit Perf:For increased comfort and max foothold, the Custom Fit Perf has heat moldable foam strategically placed in the sensitive areas of the foot, sin, ankle and heel. Aluminium insulative layer: Aluminum is a powerful barrier against heat loss. An additional layer underneath the footbed makes these boots like a space blanket for your feet.

I am new to snowboarding but have been progressing at a slightly above average pace. My best friend bought me a pair of used Burton Driver X boots for my birthday and I rode those until my last 2 two outings. The build quality of the Burtons is perfect- I would give them a 6 out of 5 stars for that- but they are so stiff with so many pressure points on my feet that circulation was being cut off down my entire foot and my calves would have me tearing up in pain just STANDING in the lift line. Nothing I did helped this issue so I went searching for a slightly more flexible, better fitting boot. After much research and many thanks to all of the reviewers here, I bought the Salomon Dialogue Select boots from the Evo outlet.[...]The boots arrived and at first I was a slightly disappointed because the materials used aren't quite up to the standard set by the Burtons. It's very good, but not exceptional (keep in mind they are much less expensive even at a retail price). Also, the blue and white areas are a shiny vinyl, NOT leather or rubber, so they have a shiny plastic sort of skate-shoe look which I'm not a fan of. I put these bad boys on and all I can say is "WOW". They are the most comfortable, warm and perfectly sized footwear I have ever worn...seriously. Better than any shoes I've had. I am a size 9 with a slightly wide, or maybe average (not not narrow) foot and these are absolutely perfect. I wore them around the house for a few hours to break them in, but they didn't need it. They've been on two trips with me so far and my feet are in heaven. No pressure points, no cold or wetness just perfect. The lacing system is exceptionally fast and works well. I have had an issue with pulling two hard and tugging the lace out of the handle, but Salomon though about this and the handle comes apart with a philips head, so it only takes a second to put the lace back inside. Also, this is WAY better than having the laces break which is what happens on other boots. Just don't pull with all of your force. The other issue is they seem flexier than a "6" I would say they are more like a 5. If you're used to really stiff boots these are going to require more effort to maintain your toe side edge, after 2 days I got the hang of it. If it weren't for the slightly more flex than they are rated and the lace coming lose I would rate a 5 out of 5. I'm only buying Salomon from now on- I hope these last many years.

Boots fit well, lace up system is easy however they will get loose after a few runs. This is pretty standard though with any boot. Lots of flex, maybe even too much if you're looking for downhill response. Overall a great boot for the park and free ride though!

I was in dire need of some new boots and I had already wiped my account on my new deck. So I saw that these were on sale and immediately could see why. If you check the fuzzy sky blue lining, it says it all. Now my friends call me 'smurf rider'. Despite that they are the right price since the lacing system rocks, super easy and stays tight through even the deeps of pow. The traction could be a little better as the boots will slide a little on those hard carves. Overall a great budget buy if you don't mind the smurf insole.

Comments about Salomon Dialogue Select Snowboard Boots 2009:

I rode the dialogue selects about 30 times this season. I've never been more impressed with a boot. This boot will take me from out of bounds to the park and to put it simply...Perform

The last time I rode Salomon was the F-22, which and was the lightest boot I've ever owned...but also the coldest boot. My frozen toes begged to be thrown back into my vans.

The comfort and warmth of this boot is unsurpassable. This boot fits so well (granted I was fitted on a Salomon sizer)and is so comfortable, on really wet days, I've driven home 1.5 hrs from the mountain... IN MY BOOTS! i've never been able to do that before!

The lacing system is my fave after comfort. i will never go back to BOA again. I was under this false impression that BOA would make my life easier. Since I dont have cankles, BOAS come loose, which means adjustment after adjustment. Salomon comes strong with the tongue centering device which plays strong when you're really leaning in.

It's so much easier to progress when you dont worry about your boots. You can ride with confidence knowing your gear will support you. The boots do well on huge drops shock absorption wise. I ride icy days with ease, even witouth chatter from the ride, my legs stay good without unecessary fatigue from my feet.

I've gotten so used to hearing everyone I ride with complain about their feet... I can't remember the last time I complained since I wore Salomons.

My friends all noticed...and I rave about them all day...

I've got almost my whole riding crew to switch to the Dialogue!

Comments about Salomon Dialogue Select Snowboard Boots 2009:

I originally bought these boots in 2006 in size 10.0. They were so comfortable and easy to lace up. However switching from Flow bindings to Rome bindings, they didn't fit. Turns out they were half a size too big. I settled on K2 T1 boots last season in size 9.5, but they were really tight. It hurt so much to walk anywhere, I actually started to walk downhill backwards so that my toes wouldn't get crushed.

Finally after trying on what seemed like every other boot on the market (Burton, ThirtyTwo, Vans, Celsius), they were all really narrow compared to my old Salomons. My feet are a little wider than most, so it was always hard to find shoes.

I decided to buy another pair of Dialogues, but this time in 9.5. I didn't need the wide version, as the regular Dialogue was wide enough. Snowboarding has never been so much fun.

The only problem I see with this boot is that the powerlace clip sometimes comes off the boot, as it is supposed to hook onto the outer shell. It doesn't affect the ride though, as it remains locked in. The laces do not loosen up.

Comments about Salomon Dialogue Select Snowboard Boots 2009:

Great boot. Salomon makes quality boots. Only con is that the boots don't seem to hold tension in lower foot (toes) area. No matter how hard you yank on the cables there will be some slack in the lower foot. Otherwise very comfortable, on the flexible side but not too flexible, thinner sole provides more board feeling, and never had a problem of feet getting cold...in fact feet start to sweat when boarding hard.
