I'm a beginner and use these boots on intermediate runs. They work great and they fit very well too (no heel lift).

One thing I really like about the boots versus other boots is the very convenient and easy lacing system. It's so easy and fast and I don't have to take my gloves off.

I'm not too fond of the design and I would say the one flaw of the shoe is the toe area of it. It's made of a "suedish" material. I've obviously gotten them wet in the snow and it's started to fade from a black to a blu-ish color only after about 4 times riding. Other than that, I couldn't be happier

Salomon makes the best boots. After spending 10 hours in five different stores with my ankle swimming in every boot, a rep gave me a Salomon boot to try. And that fit perfectly. After three years of using that boot it disapeared and I didn't know what model boot it was so that I can replace it. I searched thru all Salomon boots and decided on the dialoge. Last years model at half price. Who can beat that? I took my shoe size and the fit was perfect. The only issue I have is that I can't seem to get the upper half of the boot as tight as I like. Other than that it is perfect.

I'm in my 50's. This is about my 5th season snowboarding. I have had one pair of boots until now, Toxic. My son has a pair of Salomon Brigades and we both liked their fit. I am very happy with these Dialogues. Especially the lace tightening system, inner and outter. I was sure I would still be cutting my fingers by pulling on lower laces but that is not true. These boots are so easy to tighten whether it be in the lodge or after getting off the lift. It just takes a minute and loosening them is just as easy.
