Comments about Salomon Dialogue Snowboard Boots 2016:

Three reasons for the two star review:
      1. The Sure-lock system that locks the laces has been very unsure for me. Anytime I try and hold a railed toe-side carve and get low to the snow, one of the locks on the boot releases(I weigh 160 lbs). This also happened to me in a somewhat dangerous situation when it was paramount for me to be able to hold a strong edge on a steep and icy traverse. If the lock releases, the laces immediately loosen, releasing all stiffness and response in the boot. My last pair of Salomon boots had a similar lacing system but this did not happen.

      2. I have ridden in the boots 8 days and they have already lost their stiffness and flex just as much as my last pair that lasted for 100+ days before degrading to this level (different model, can't remember the name but I remember that they don't make it anymore or changed the name). The materials look fine(they still look new) and the boots are not falling apart but they went from semi rigid to floppy very quickly.

      3. The boots have a higher profile than other boots that I have ridden in the last 10 years, not by much, but enough to notice the extra toe drag (size 11.5).

Overall, these boots are not terrible but they are bad enough that I wanted new boots after 6 days in them ...bummer. I had been very pleased with my last two pair of Salomon boots but these missed the mark by a lot.
