Comments about Salomon Dialogue Snowboard Boots 2013:

The boots are very comfortable, well built, warm, and feel very durable. unfortunately, while the adjustability is nice the upper lace doesn't stay right. the lace lock would always come loose after a run and i had to constantly adjust it. seems like the lace lock should face the other direction so the lace isn't pulled forward. too bad.

Comments about Salomon Dialogue Snowboard Boots 2013:

Pros and cons about this lacing system, when you get it right they stay tight and secure. But if you're not paying attention or don't know how it works they will loosen up. It's not as easy as a boa but works well. Since there are three different handles, there is a lot of adjustability, but you have to take some time and look closely at where the lace locks in.
These boots are stiff. You move, they move and the board moves. Do it right and they make it easy.
I ride all-mmountain and do some freestyle in them but most freestyle riders would probably want a softer boot.
Sizing, these boots are made on a mold that has a narrower fit then most men's boots, wider then women's. Males who have regular to wide feet will find them tight, but for narrower footed men or slightly wider footed women these may be ideal.
I've been wearing boots from this mold for 15 years and the only downside is they eventually they wear out and I have to buy new ones. But the company will change the name and I have to call and tell them the last boot I had and they tell me the current boots made on that mold.
Durability, I have about 10 days of riding and they aren't showing any wear but my prior boots from Salomon have never had a failure after hundreds of days on the snow. Most people won't do a quarter of the riding I do so they should last a long time. Also, when I rode in my prior boots I weighed in excess of 220 lbs/100kilos.
If you lke a stiff boot and have that mid width foot, buy these. If you like a softer boot, I was told the faction is made on the same mold. I may buy the Faction in the future to teach in, since the softer boot makes it easier to flex.
I bought these on closeout, hence the 2013 model and only 10 days of riding, super discount from Evo!

Comments about Salomon Dialogue Snowboard Boots 2013:

I like the stiffness. I just have an issue that the boot seems a drop to tall for me (I'm 5' 7 1/2"). The bottom of my calf muscle is in pain after a day of boarding. Maybe it's just that it is still new. I've only used it twice.
