I got these boots after always struggling with my heel lifting a ton while carving in my previous 2 pairs of boots. I have medium-wide size 6 ft with skinny ankles. For years, I would end up having to call it a day early because of the cramping in my feet and legs from constantly trying to dig my heel back down as I went down the mtn. I called and spoke to one of the guys (don't remember the name) and told him about my issue. He recommended this boot because it has built in J-bars that help lock the heel in place. He recommended them even though they were on clearance, which I like. I just used the boots 3 days in Utah and they were awesome! Very minimal heel lift, warm, and comfy even the 1st time. The only reason I give them 4 stars, is bc the J bars could be even a bit thicker for absolutely no lift, but they are a world of difference from previous pairs

These boots are awesome!! The plush liner makes they boots super comfortable, and the boa conda system is great for locking your foot in position. The only downside to these boots is that the outer lacing requires a bit of elbow grease to tighten.
