Fit
Articulation - Internal neoprene provides solid heel hold without bulky and restrictive laces while the liner and shell work together for a seamless system, allowing the rider to flex freely.
3D Tounges
Molded Backstays
Liner
Alpha Liners
Aerotech Ventilation System - Molded vents in the shell and liner work in unison to release unwanted moisture away from the riders foot. This proprietary system will keep your feet warm and dry.
Aegis™ - Eliminates bacteria and fungus that cause odors, and product deterioration.
Leather Collar Top - Premium material that elevates comfort and fit.
Directional Mesh - Provides easy entry to the boot, then locks the heel in place.
Anatomical J-bars - Anatomical and asymmetrical support to keep the foot in a neutral position.
Lacing System
Constrictor Closure System - Provides the perfect blend of support, heel hold, and comfort to perform in any condition. The closure overlays securely hold your foot while allowing the boot to flex smoothly and consistently.
Footbed
Snow Performance with Impact G - A proven impact absorbing system that won’t change properties under varied temperatures or climates.
Sole
UNILITE™ with Impact G™ and Push Zone - Provides traction, durability, dampening, and cushioning all while drastically reducing weight. UNILITE™ soles feature distinct traction patterns for ascending, descending, and skating around with the Push Zone tread pattern. The snow shedding designs also prevent snow build up and clogged bindings. For the ultimate in reduced weight and comfort, Impact G™ is a proven impact absorbing system that does not change properties under varied temperatures.
Additional Features
Welded Toe Caps
Full Grain Leather - Offers a premium look, but also improved performance and durability. Impregnated with silicone, DC boots will last longer than boots made with synthetic materials while forming to the rider’s foot for a personalized fit.

Great boot overall, got it from EVO on a great sale. Would only say one negative comment about them and that is the boot scuffs super easy. I have them in white and regret it already. Otherwise, great boot.

Comments about DC Status BOA Snowboard Boots 2012:

I use this boot for the resort. I have used this boot with my split in the backcountry, but don't like to. If the boa breaks you are kind of screwed. But for resort days, best boot I have found. The inner ankle tightening is awesome and the Velcro strap across the top of the liner adds that extra bit of stability. Plus the boa is great for the resort. Don't have to take the boot out of the binding to get a little pressure relief.

Comments about DC Status BOA Snowboard Boots 2012:

Only used them once so far. Great bindings, the BOA system is amazing as I could never get a tight fit with laces and if I did, they would obviously loosen after a few runs. The two separate torques allow you to free up your toes if you feel the need. The only thing I hesitate to say is the quality of the material in terms of how long it will withstand the cable. There is a lot of pulling and "cutting" of the cable in my mind when tightening and I don't know how long that fabric/material will last. Barring that, I would totally get these, and as for the 2013 model, you're paying for T Rice's name so think twice about that as well. This is why I went with 2012 model.

Comments about DC Status BOA Snowboard Boots 2012:

I like to wear mine tight so I got the BOA but...

I wear either a 10.5 or an 11 -> when standing my foot is a half-size bigger and I'd read that these run small so I got the 11's. It was a mistake because it feels a bit over-sized so its not as responsive as I'd like.

Also, I tend to skate with my foot on the back and the finish on these boots is totally fragile––any minor nicks turn into tears in the leather finish. So after only a half-dozen rides, they look pretty well aged.

I have a pair of white Solomons and they have a black rubberized portion on the toe area and they still look perfect after 2 years.
