Optimal comfort and performance at the turn of a knob, the DC Search BOA Snowboard Boots have it all and more. Featuring BOA System and Ccommand Liner, the DC Search boots are a quick and easy way to get you the comfort that you desire on the mountain.

Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 5, mid-range flex makes this boot extremely versatile and ready to take on every inch of the hill.
Liner
Command Liners
Lace Closure - Provides a secure closure on the liner. Molded j-bars help eliminate heel lift.
Anatomical J-bars - Anatomical and asymmetrical support to keep the foot in a neutral position.
Directional Mesh - Provides easy entry to the boot, then locks the heel in place.
Aegis™ - Eliminates bacteria and fungus that cause odors, and product deterioration.
Lacing System
BOA® - Allows for fast and easy tightening to the optimal comfort level

  • Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
    Beginner-Intermediate
    Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.

    Medium
    The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.

        Had to send these back twice because the sizes were way off... I wear a 7.5 and ordered an 8 first and they were way to short, my toes were so scrunched. I then ordered an 8.5 (A whole size bigger) and they were still to short. I am going to try a 9 one last time. EVO customer service is top notch. I am very pleased with them.

        I originally ordered an 8 (since I usually range between 7.5-8 in women's shoes), however my toes were way too crammed... So I had to bump up to an 8.5. Once I received the correct size, they are pretty confortable.
        BOA lacing system is great- although for my purposes a double BOA would probably be best. As of now the lacing is tight around my calves but could use more tightening around my foot.

            I am normally a size 8-8.5 and ordered a size 9. At first I thought this was too small but realized my heel needed to be pushed right back and the Boa lace system tightened more. I can wriggle my toes but there's not too much room. They seem quite comfortable however I am yet to use them for snowboarding so I will soon find out if I need an extra 1/2 a size.

                I needed new boots bcs my 1-yr-old Burtons were killing my feet. They have a pad that compresses your toes, which is great for control and steering, but it gave me a case of plantar fasciitis (I run when I'm not snowboarding), which was killer. These bootts have a big toe box, which gives my tootsies room to breath. Maybe I sacrifice some control, but it's worth it to avoid aggravating the PF.

                    I had to send these back because it hurt my calves. I don't have abnormally large calves, there was just this dip on the inside lining that my calves would "sit" on which made it hurt.
