Comments about DC Gizmo Snowboard Boots 2013:

I used the boot for the first time and I love it. Super easy lacing with BOA, I had no problems with it. The inside ankle support really locks your heel in place if you want it too. The best part is the different areas for tightening you can leave the upper or lower part of the boot looser or tighter depending on what your doing or feeling that day.

I was a little worried about too much flex based on other reviews but these boots are stiff in my opinion. Perfect for all mountain and all day comfort. May not be best for park, too stiff. But you can loosen up pretty quickly and get maneuverability if desired.

Comments about DC Gizmo Snowboard Boots 2013:

Firstly I really like the idea behind these boots, being part lace up and part boa, it was working great for tightening up over the top of my foot and providing the stiffness I was looking for

That said, I bought a pair of these last season. After one day on the slopes the boa refused to completely release. I almost broke my ankle trying to get the boot off. The next day I took it to the board shop on the mountain and they couldn't do anything with it and I ended up renting a lace up pair of boots. I took my chances on a second pair after returning the first and found that the boa wouldn't tighten completely. I would not risk a weekend trip on a pair of these.

Boa was terrible on these, seized up on day 5, pulled my foot really really hard to get out of the boot after it would not release and the boot ripped a giant hole and bruised my foot bad. Now dc is giving me a run around to warranty them. These boots are junk

Comments about DC Gizmo Snowboard Boots 2013:

I am a ski and Snowboard instructor at Saddleback Maine. I am on the snow at least 4 days a week. That being said my gear takes a beating. This boot has held up great since I purchased it half way through the season. It's really comfy, looks great, and the adjustability of it is amazing. The traditional lacing on the upper part of the boot is great. You can ride as loose as you want or as stiff which I love.

My only complaint would be that the cushioning that the footbed provides could be better. If you are going to be hitting bigger jumps and taking some deep landings I would replace them with a better footbed.
