Burton Raptor Snowboard Boots 2013

Bird of prey or lethal dinosaur. Doesn't matter, the Burton Raptor Snowboard Boots are just as badass as either. Lightweight and responsive, these are suitable for leaping great distances and tearing prey to pieces. The Raptor boots takes its influence straight from its carnivorous counter-parts, to give you a boot that will tear the mountain apart without having to rip up your wallet.
Flex
Flex Rating: 5 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - Perfect for all-day comfort and performance
Fit
Articulating Cuff - Allowing the upper and lower zones of the boot to flex independently creates fluid forward motion, minimizes shell distortion, and maximizes heel hold and response.
Medium Flex 3D® Molded Tongues - Adjusting the profile of the tongue’s thickness controls its flex, enhances its ability to wrap the forefoot and reduces shell/liner stack-up for improved comfort.
Power Spine Backstays - These seamless backstays allow for fine-tuned medial/lateral support, edge-to-edge response, and maximum durability.
Total Comfort Construction - An instantly broken-in feel right out of the box
Liner
Imprint™ 3 Liner
Rad Pad - This cushioning is located on the top of your instep, right where the liner laces exert the most pressure. These pre-curved panels keep your feet stoked and secure.
Lacing System
Sweet Spot Speed Zone™ Lacing System - Speed Zone™ laces are at the sweet spot around your ankles, so you can lock your heels in place. The upper VELCRO® Brand Fastener Power Strap lets you customize the fit of the cuff. With two independent zones, you get more control over your fit and comfort, and even easier entry and exit.
Winder Handles - Speed Zone™ winder handles make it easy to grip the laces and pull them tight, with or without gloves on, and also offer a convenient spot to wind up the extra lace cable.
Footbed
Level 2 Molded EVA Footbed - Lightweight and long-lasting shock absorbtion
ESS Support Shank - The added support reduces fatigue while preventing your arch from collapsing on itself you bomb drop a 40-footer.
Sole
Shrinkage™ Footprint Reduction Technology - This reduces the boot's overall footprint one full size, meaning a men's size 10 fits like a size 10, but has a footprint of a typical size 9. Shorter, lighter, sleeker - never suffer from toe drag again.
DynoLite Outsole - Superior cushioning, improved board feel and consistent support in a 20% lighter weight construction - made entirely of an exclusive cushioning compound specially formulated to withstand repeated impacts and freezing temps for long lasting shock absorption
EST® Optimized Soles - EST® goes beyond bindings by optimizing the soles on select boots for a more direct connection. Lower-profile, lighter weight, and with a reduced ramp angle, EST lowers your center of gravity and improves feel. All without sacrificing an ounce of cushioning thanks to ultra-dampening B3 Gel inserts.
B3 Gel - Unstoppable impact protection
Additional Features
Snow-Proof Internal Gusset - Features internal gusset construction to completely seal the lower zone of the boot, keeping feet warm and dry
Aegis Antimicrobial Coating - Inhibits foul odors: Your feet (and your friends) will thank you.

  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
