Burton Rampant Snowboard Boots 2013

Weighing in as the lightest weight Burton boot in history, the Burton Rampant Snowboard Boots will make you feel like there's nothing on your feet. You will be able to run rampant all over the mountain. Perfect for the skate-inspired riding of Keegan Valaika, it features a softer flex as well as the optimized board feel and cushioning of EST™. No need to sacrifice support thanks to the NEW Crossbone Cuff. Bringing the benefits of our winged hi-back to the boot itself, this cuff balances lateral Jumper Cables with the medial mobility of an articulating cuff. Set yourself up with the Burton Rampant Snowboard Boots and you will soon find yourself aggressively rolling in uncontrollable happiness.
Flex
Flex Rating: 4 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - Great for all-day comfort and performance
Flex Spine Backstays - Get effortless medial and lateral mobility with ample edge-to-edge support when it's time to throw down the landing gear.
Lightweight Power Panels - To ensure consistent flex from day 1 to 100, this boot features strategically placed Power Panels that return to their original position even after being deeply flexed.
Fit
Medium Flex 3D® Molded Tongues - Adjusting the profile of the tongue’s thickness controls its flex, enhances its ability to wrap the forefoot and reduces shell/liner stack-up for improved comfort.
Crossbone Cuff - Balances the free-flexing mobility of an articulating cuff with the lateral support of the ultra-light Jumper Cables (carbon stringers that radiate energy outward from your feet) found in Burton's high-end boards
Lock-Up Cuff - A super low-profile inner cuff that carries the laces across the forefoot, and around the ankle for ultimate heel hold with effortless entry and exit
Shrinkage™ Footprint Reduction Technology - This reduces the boot's overall footprint one size, meaning a men's size 10 fits like a size 10, but has the footprint of a typical size 9. Shorter, lighter, and sleeker means that you will never have to suffer from toe drag again.
Total Comfort Construction - An instantly broken-in feel right out of the box
Liner
Imprint™ 2 Liner
Heat Moldable - Whether you have funky cankles or a grotesque sixth toe, your feet will be wrapped with comfort in this boot. Ride them right out of the box or shape them to your foot with Burton's EMU heat-molding system, found at your local shop.
Inner Lace Lock - Quick-lock design keeps your heels locked down all day. Exit's a cinch with the one-handed release tab.
VELCRO® Brand Fastener Liner Closure - This secures the liner in place around your foot. J-Bar adjustable heel system slides into the heel pocket for added support.

B3 Gel - This gel is placed in the heel and toe for ultimate dampening formulated to withstand repeated impacts without breaking down.
Additional Features
Snow-Proof Internal Gusset - Features internal gusset construction to completely seal the lower zone of the boot, keeping feet warm and dry

Specs

  • Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
    Beginner-Intermediate
Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
