Burton Imperial Snowboard Boots 2014

Rule over the whole mountain with the Burton Imperial Snowboard Boots. With all the best features like an Imprint™ 3 liner and S4 shell panels distilled into one boot, the Imperial will give you the support and comfort needed to shred on any type of terrain. Like needing a fine saddle on your trusty steed, you need a great boot on your feet for a fun time on the mountain.
Flex
Flex Rating: 7 (1 Softest - 10 Stiffest) - A stiff flex perfect for chargin' hard and pushing your limits
Lightweight Power Panels - To ensure consistent flex from day 1 to 100, this boot features strategically placed Power Panels that return to their original position even after being deeply flexed.
Fit
Total Comfort Construction - Get an instantly broken-in feel right out of the box. Total Comfort's industry-exclusive construction eliminates the break-in period for a fit that feels just as good from opening day to day 100.
Liner
Imprint™ 3 liner
Heat Moldable - Whether you have funky cankles or a grotesque sixth toe, your feet will be wrapped with comfort in this boot. Ride them right out of the box or shape them to your foot with Burton's EMU heat-molding system, found at your local shop.
Rad Pad - Located on the top of your instep, right where the liner laces exert the most pressure, these pre-curved panels keep your feet stoked and secure.
Focus Cuff Heel Hold System with Velcro® J-Bar Interface and Inner Lace Lock - Boosting heel-hold by hugging that sweet spot around your ankle, the Focus Cuff rides slightly higher on your ankle for increased response.
Sock Lock - This directional fiber lining allows your feet to easily slide into place and stay in place from first chair to last call.
VELCO® liner closure
Aegis™ Antimicrobial Coating - This technology stops your feet from smelling so bad that your dog won't even greet you when you get home.
Lacing System
Speed Zone™ Lacing - Lightning fast lacing control at its finest. Customize the fit of the upper or lower zone in seconds; because the system is so powerful, you get more rebound, more wrap and better response, all with less effort.
Footbed
Level 2 molded EVA footbed with ESS Support Shank
Sole
Vibram® EcoStep™ Outsole - Get the legendary grip and feel Vibram® is famous for in a lighter weight, 30% recycled (EcoStep™) construction. Includes the added cushioning of dual zone EVA and B3 Gel in the heel and toe.

Rubber Ice Spikes - Soft and grippy with stiffer spikes that dig into ice when slipping isn't an option
Low-Profile EST® Optimized Midsole - EST® goes beyond bindings by optimizing the soles on select boots for a more direct connection. Lower profile, lighter weight, and with a reduced ramp angle, EST lowers your center of gravity and improves feel. All without sacrificing an ounce of cushioning thanks to ultra-dampening B3 Gel inserts.

Shrinkage Footprint Reduction Technology - This reduces the boot's overall footprint on full size, meaning a men's size 10 fits like a size 10, but has the footprint of a typical size 9. Shorter, lighter, sleeker - never suffer from toe drag again.
Additional Features
Snow-Proof Internal Gusset - All Burton boot tongues feature an internal gusset construction to completely seal the lower zone of the boot, keeping your feet and little piggies warm and toasty.
S4 Hybrid Construction - Start strong and stay strong from first run to last chair. Super light and resilient, these shell panels on the SLX and Imperial evenly distribute strap pressure to maximize rebound and resist breakdown for consistent flex, season after season.

  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Flex Rating: Stiff
    Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
