Bringing the feel of skate shoes to snow, Shaun’s boot features a soft, forgiving flex, extra large air bag, and freestyle focused Flex 1 liner. Whether you’re getting used to the feel of floating down the pipe or banging out clips for your next video part, the Burton AWOL Snowboard Boot will give you the ability to fly first class in complete and total comfort.
Flex Rating and Fit
Flex Rating: 3 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff) The Flex Spine Backstay offers effortless medial and lateral mobility with ample edge to edge support for when it’s time to throw down the landing gear. Combine this with the soft flex thin profile 3D molded tongue that allows you to adjust the profile of the tongue’s thickness to control its flex, enhance its ability to wrap the forefoot, and reduce shell/liner stack-up for improved comfort.
Construction
The lightweight airsole with air cushioning provides responsive protection that is built around the impacts and cold temperatures of riding, not slam dunking.
Liner and Lacing
Traditional lacing comes together with the Flex™ 1 Liner, boosting heel-hold by hugging that sweet spot on your ankle, this design offers adjustments in fit and function to fine-tune your ride.
Special Features
Shaun’s secret weapon, the Burton AWOL Snowboard Boots have a Park 1 Molded EVA Footbed.

        I used my boots for the first time this past weekend and I did everything from free riding down hill to hitting the jumps and the boots were a bit stiff an uncomfortable at first but by the end of the day they were broken in enough to where the were really comfortable and kept my feet warm through out the day. I would recommend these boots to anyone.

          I wanted a flexible boot. This fits the bill - stiff enough for support and durability, but flexible enough for feedback and freedom.

          The lacing system is easy and adjustable. Sometimes, if you tighten the outer laces too much, the can feel painful, because you screwed up and unevenly tightened the outer laces. That's about all that can go wrong.

          I'm happy with the purchase, plus the boot was inexpensive.

          It's a snowboard boot, and it does the job well. Good snowboarders have skills, not the most expensive gear.
