Union Jib Series Snowboard Bindings 2013

Union Shop all Union
The Union Jib Series Snowboard Bindings are limited edition late release bindings from Union's custom house. The guys at that lab have brought to life a "Franken-binding" made up from spare parts from other Union bindings: the lowback from the Mini Flite, the baseplate from the DLX, the comfy strap from the Contact, all stitched together with some black denim. Featuring all the latest tech that Union could get its hands on, this binding will be able to take anything that you can throw at it (hell, it can take anything that Joe Sexton can throw at it), while still being comfortable enough that you can ride all day.
Stage I Base - A lightweight and bombproof base that is made out of Dupont™ Zytel® ST and offers up a lifetime warranty
Universal disks
Injected EVA Bushings - The bushings dampen underfoot vibrations to promote a more comfortable ride and a smooth, even board flex with no dead spots.
3D Direct Connect Strap System - An open toe strap, multi-layer tapered strap core, and aluminum buckles provide high-performance, highly comfortable ankle and toe straps keep your feet locked in and on point. It’s called TrueFit™ strap technology, and it includes Multi-Position toe straps for the ultimate in premium personalization.
Injected Aluminum Buckles and Steel Cage - Fast in and fast out, Union aluminum is second-to-none.
All-New Open Toe Straps - Multi-positional options with open Ultra Grip™ Design
Fusion Dupont™ Zytel® ST Highbacks - Forgiving lateral flex in any temperature, these highbacks are made of Dupont™ Zytel® ST to maintain flexibility and strength in the widest range of temperatures.
Shift-on-the-Fly Forward Lean
Additional Features
Tool-free size adjustment
Extruded Anodized Aluminum Heelcups - The strongest and most versatile aluminum heelcup on the market, extruded aluminum comes out 100% pure and maintains its true shape no matter how much wear and tear you inflict. Also, every Union heelcup undergoes an anodizing process—reinforcing the already bombproof apparatus with 30% more strength.
Grade 8.8 Hardware - The most commonly used hardware is made from "mild steel" that has a property class of only 4.6. Considering how much stress a binding goes through, Union uses only the highest-strength steel with a property class of 8.8.

  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
  • Binding Style: Strap
