Union Shop all Union
Dependability is something that a packed season rider knows all about. The Union Force Snowboard Bindings are something that you can depend on day after day without having to adjust, repair and won't have to worry about. Completely redesigned for 2014, this stallion of a binding cannot be broken, always running on lightweight durability and flex. The tough as nails Dupont™ Zytel® ST baseplate brings the Union Lifetime Warranty to the plate because well, frankly, it's never going to break - but if it does, Union has you covered. Every element in this binding is on lock down with max efficiency so you can charge around the mountain carefree. May the force be with you.
Baseplate
All-New Stage IV Base - Same lifetime warranty as always, on a lighter, lower-profile baseplate.

Dupont™ Zytel® ST - The highest-quality nylon, used on all Union baseplates, results in strength, safety, security and the confidence of a Lifetime warranty.
Dual Density EVA Bushings - They dampen vibrations underfoot to promote a more comfortable ride and a smooth, even board flex with no dead sports. Each size comes with its own durometer for custom performance.

Straps
Symmetric 3D Direct-Connect Strap System - Multi-Layer Tapered Strap Core evenly distributes pressure in a symmetrical package.
Multi-Layered Tapered Strap Core
Magnesium Buckles - The magnesium in the buckles is four times the strength of aluminum with only half the weight. Plus, it is easily recycled.
All-New Toe Buckle System - Multi-positional options with open Ultra Grip™ Design
All-New Toe Cup Design - Holds better to your boots for consistent control and also moves vertically for multiple boot-to-strap positions.
Highback
Multizone Force Highback - With a new design this highback brags next level heelside response and board control.

Shift-on-the-Fly Forward Lean - Quick and easy to use, adjust your forward lean with a simple flip of a knob then slide it to wherever you want and re-lock it. Easily done while waiting in those pesky lift lines.
Additional Features
All-New Extruded 3D Aluminum Heelcups - This process removes material to reduce weight but maintains strength.

Universal Disks - Compatible with any traditional 4x4 mounting system and 3-hole board patterns. Channel Compatible Disc is available separately from Union to fit Burton snowboards with The Channel.
Grade 8.8 Hardware - The most commonly used hardware is made from "mild steel" that has a property class of only 4.6. Considering how much stress a binding goes through, Union uses only the highest-strength steel, with a property class of 8.8.

Specs

  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
  • Binding Style: Strap
  • Warranty: Limited Lifetime
