Salomon Stella Snowboard Bindings - Women's 2012: Aw…cute! First thought is best thought and the Salomon Stella Snowboard Bindings are as cute as can be. Packed with lightweight baseplates, super soft Empire highbacks and an all new full pad for cushy comfort, the Salomon Stella Snowboard Bindings are a no brainer.
Baseplate
The Slasher baseplate’s lightweight design shaves 100g (per pair) from the Stella bindings. The polycarbonate material allows for an even freestyle flex.
IMS: Salomon’s patented trick for keeping your disc screws in place, while adjusting your bindings or swapping out boards.
Composite 30% baseplate tech: more rigid than low end plastic, more durable and comfortable than aluminum
ADJ Toe Ramp: dual layer toe pad with super easy adjustability for the best transmission on toe edge
Power Heel Lock: simple heel tab on the back of the heel cup that matches up with the spine on your Salomon boots eliminating heel lift
Straps
The True Grip toe strap is a fast fit super lightweight locking toe strap with no need for a full release to quickly get you back on the slopes.
3D Prime Core ankle strap is lightweight and super comfortable, built with sturdy Cordura for long lasting performance.
Women Specific Geometry; custom designed to fit women’s specific boot shapes, the 3D strap padded with Autofit tightly hugs your ankle no matter what the position
Highback
FlexRating - 3 (1 Soft – 5 Stiff) The Salomon Stella Snowboard Bindings feature the Empire highbacks that are lighter, softer, and ready to surpass expectations.
HB Filter: Exclusive to Salomon, their unique vibration filtering material absorbs unwanted shock: less leg and foot fatigue, more riding.
Additional Features
Full EVA: EVA foam padding softens the contact by absorbing the vibrations.
Viper aluminum buckles: increased ratchet throw gets you a deeper grip with less effort, so your straps go on lightening fast. Quick and easy to release, nothing but smooth sailing strap adjustment with the Viper's new three point hinge mechanism and easy grip shape.
Toolfree strap ADJ: Yep, it’s that simple; easy length adjustment on the fly with no tools needed.

Comments about Salomon Stella Snowboard Bindings - Women's 2012:

Ugh. Salomon is my brand but these have been quite a headache. When I installed them (fresh out of the box), one of the screws for repositioning the ankle strap was so tight, me nor my husband could loosen it. I took it to the repair shop on the mountain, and they couldn't get it loose either so they had to drill it out. I wear a size 10 boot, which, according to the size guide, should easily fit in a medium (size range 7.5-11), but the toe straps do not release completely, and it's a royal pain each time to get the toe strap arch out of the way so I can place my boot on the base plate. Lastly, the ratchets on the toe strap (especially on the right) keep failing and releasing mid ride :-(
I'm stuck with sucky bindings! :-/
