Rome Shift Snowboard Bindings 2011:Coming from the “first one is free” mentality, the Rome Shift Snowboard Binding serves up everyday performance for riders just getting hooked on fresh corduroy, well- groomed jumps, fresh pow, and butter-boxes in the park. A more moderate flex profile is out-fitted with a heavy array of essentials that Rome puts into every binding: a geometrically correct highback. ConFormist toe strap, highback rotation, and ankle strap positioning. It ain’t free, but it has all the hook you need to get addicted for the rest of your life.
Baseplates
Unibody Baseplates are constructed using recyclable polycarbonate for lightweight and consistent flex.
0° to 12° of highback rotation places power where you like it.
Straps
ConFormist. 1 Toe Straps have super conforming EVA for the best-fitting, lowest profile toe strap in snowboarding.
PF1 ankle straps give a moderate to high level of support for instant power input.
9Times Ankle Strap positioning lets you decide how much ankle support you want.
Highbacks
Shift Highbacks allow riders to sample jumps, carves, and jibs with an all-terrain level of support.
Additional Features
Adjustable toe ramp allows customization in the toe area.
QuickStrap.2 technology means tool-free strap length adjustment.
QuickLock forward Lean for tool-free forward lean adjustment.
SubBase Pads take the edge off hard landings and reduce vibration.

I'm a newbie so these are the first bindings I've purchased. I'm very happy with how adjustable and durable they seem. The mounting system is a four-hole system that is supposed to very adjustable -- I'm still figuring out my stance/angles. Some complained that the screws were too short. They do seem short, but I didn't have a problem mounting these to my board with the included screws.

My only complaint is that the instructions made it seem like the toe ramp would easily slide in/out to adjust with a few clicks. I had to pry the toe ramps open with a flathead screwdriver, after trying to pull them out for over an hour.

These bindings are garbage unless it's literally your first year out on the slopes. These pieces of trash broke so many times that I got to know one of the customer service guys personally. literally had almost every main part of the bindings replaced plus some funky shaped t bolts and screws. rome wasn't the greatest at helping me out either. got two replys in two weeks through email after sending them like 6. and they were playing stupid with me i felt like. i Baught them in a package with the rome garage rocker so i atleast didnt pay to much for them. sent them back after getting to use them under 10 times for the union flites and have not contacted evo since. unions for the win.

The bindings are good enough but the ratchets don't feel real tight (almost like they are going to break off when you tighten them up). The price was good though.

Comments about Rome Shift Snowboard Bindings 2011:

i found these bindings and they are amazing they are on my 2011 Flow infinte snowboard and they have great resopnse even early in the season at Mt. Baker when its raining or a white out they are sweet ive been rockin the park latley with these and wow great, rode chair 9 almost killed myself but these are amazing the best ever i recomend these to all riders out, even though plastic is lighter than metal i think metal is a longer lasting binding and can take alot of abuse love these bindings and 2011 Flow infinte such a great board i recomend the snowboad and bindings

            Service and delivery comments:

delivery was good, came in package so i got seperate packages but was still on time and within the time frame promised. arrived in perfect condition all though after putting them to use is a whole different story.. customer service through evo is so smooth by far the best customer service i say in the nation. way better then the actual manufactuer customer service. rome is slow as molasses at replying. if you ever have issues don't be afraid to call in or email justin in the customer service department.

Rode them 3 times before they snapped off my board after a jump. Took forever to get them to install. Only really good thing about these bindings was the price. Other then that I didn't really like their construction.

Comments about Rome Shift Snowboard Bindings 2011:

The Binding were difficult to install to a Burton board, as they were three-holes and the bindings didnt fit the screws. I switched the plates with my old bindings and problem solved. The straps thmselves are the typical type, yet not easy to catch at first wratchet. Good bindings for the price.
