Product Details

Flex

Medium FlexThe Mob Boss has the perfect combination of playfulness and power. This medium flex gives you the power you need for freeriding and the flexibility you want for freestyle.

Baseplate

V-Rod BaseplateA V-shaped baseplate with a "rod" of edge-to-edge contact limits the binding's footprint on the board, which delivers three things: natural board flex, greater binding flexibility side-to-side, and full power from toe to heel. You get the perfect blend of flex with pop.

SubBase V-PadPartnered with the V-Rod baseplate, the 3D profile of the EVA and rubber sub-base pad fills the lifted corners of the baseplate, creating cushioning for the smoothest side-to-side flex while allowing for a dampening barrier between the baseplate and topsheet.

Straps

Contour Boss Ankle StrapRome has designed the Contour Boss Ankle Strap with new materials to conform over the ankle with double the cushion for support and comfort that is unmatched by any other, and solidifies its versatility in flex for all types of shred.

ConformGrip Toe StrapOvermolded TPR grips the toe of your boot for comfort and control, while conforming seamlessly to all models on the market.

Highback

Mob HighbackSlightly shorter and rounded near the top to create a playful support level that is needed for a skate feel that is lighter and has ample flex. Designed for freestyle and street riding.

Cant-In-The-BackCustomization for control and comfort by adjusting the highback angle to match the natural curvature of your stance. Rider has choice between 3 and 6 degrees of highback canting.

Forward Lean AdjustmentForward Lean Adjustment consists of an adjustment mechanism located on the back of the highback for customized forward lean.

Additional Features

Yes, I Can't SystemCanting gives you more comfortable wide stances for more power over your nose and tail. Go with 3.5 degrees of canting, or run 0 degrees if you want to go traditional.

Good binding. As others have suggested, it's more stiff than Rome leads you to believe - more of an all mountain binding, which is what I was looking for. Toe strap is the best I've used, locks you in. Ankle strap is cushy and comfy. TON of adjustability in these bindings, the canted footbeds are great and easy to swap out if you want flat.

I wear a 10.5 boot, and I got the large binding. Popped it on my 161cm Ride Berzerker (regular width board) without a problem. You shouldn't have trouble getting the large binding on a regular width board from my experience.

One last note - the "LNP" color on Evo's website is a grey color with camouflage footbeds and highbacks. You can't really see the camouflage in the photos they provide. Not a deal breaker for me, but just a heads up.

You can not adjust the heel cup. Because of this, someone with a larger boot may find that they can not center the bindings (like me). The conclusion of no adjustable heel cup means you will most likely have the foot bed hanging too far forward or backward. Also all the writing ink on the binding fade quickly, that's no big deal though.

Comments about Rome Mob Boss Snowboard Bindings 2014:

Used these on a GNU Metal GNURU 2015. They are very comfortable and super lightweight. The only thing about these is it seems they run a little small. I wear a size 9.5 shoes and the mediums should fit no problem (up to size 10.5 shoe I believe?) Bindings were able to be adjusted to fit the 9.5 shoe but are a pain to strap in. Will be doing some more adjustments to make it work since I am to lazy to send them back. But if you have a size 9-10 shoe I would move to a large.

Comments about Rome Mob Boss Snowboard Bindings 2014:

Easy to use and very durable. Used these on my trip out to Colorado and they were very solid. Only thing is they are a bit heavy so not ideal for park and jumps as I felt they were better suited for straight up mountains shredding and carving out big S's all over the place. All in all I am very pleased with my purchase.

Bought my first board and instead of wasting money at the local ski shop I found these same bindings on eve for cheaper and was in awe and excited. Tested them out at Gore mountain and they are wonderful.

Rome says this is more towards park but the flex of this binding is definitely all mountain, med to stiff flex.

Overall a great binding, very comfortable ankle strap and the toestrap molds to your boot very well for great control. Im also loving the canted highbacks and canted footbeds, knees defintely feel better after a day of riding.

Comments about Rome Mob Boss Snowboard Bindings 2014:

Great binding for the money, the toe strap is perfect and the ankle strap is very comfortable. I would recommend going with the medium size for size 10 or 11, the large is a big binding that would not fit well on a standard width board.

Comments about Rome Mob Boss Snowboard Bindings 2014:

I bought these for a freestyle setup to mess around in while my son is learning to ride. Toe strap grips your toe perfectly and ankle strap is sturdy and super comfy. I would go with the Medium for size 10-11 boot or any board less than 258 waist. Large size is huge. EVO exchanged sizes no problem. Seems very well built for the price and the 3.5 cant is perfect.
