These are absolutely the best bindings I have ever used. I wasn't sure about the canted footbed, but combined with the asymmetrical high back, they really are easier on your knees. I use the 2 degree pads and they make a huge difference. The ankle and toe straps have no pressure points, even from day one. I'm coming at these from Unions, which I really like, but the Rome's are just better. Very responsive but flexible at the same time. Sizing seems accurate. The toe area is a bit narrower than my Union Forces but almost identical to the Union Contacts. I wear Thirty Two Lashed sz 9.5 and the L/XL size fits well. I did Dremmel the boots' sole a bit to fit the front of the boots better, but this seems common with the Lashed boots.

I got them on sale for a good price but probably wouldn't pay full price for them.

Comments about Rome 390 Boss Snowboard Bindings 2013:

I bought this after having heard very good things about it. It's not very stiff at all and the responsiveness is horrible. In order for some decent responsiveness I had to tighten it to an extreme where my feet were very uncomfortable and blood circulation to my feet were restricted.

The design of the lever is also not very reliable either. Ice formed inside where the lever binds onto the strap and so my binding wouldn't hold. I had to spend awhile figuring out why my strap wouldn't hold.

Also a few times I would notice that the strap had automatically loosened itself halfway down the mountain...Not very reliable or safe...

I wish I had bought another binding. For something so expensive I'm extremely disappointed!

Comments about Rome 390 Boss Snowboard Bindings 2013:

      Good construction.

No more peeling paint (a cosmetic problem from earlier models).

Toe strap is perfect. Can use both configurations. Earlier Boss models had good toe straps but apparently some people had complaints -- the 2013 model fixed those.

So any minor grievances people had of earlier models have been fixed. Now the binding is perfect.

Lots of customization options, but nothing complicated. Heelback angle can be adjusted without a tool, which is good for when you're on the mountain and ready to switch from park to freeride.

Canting system felt subtle at first but by the end of the day my knees were much less worn out. It makes a difference. Like most people I use the 2.0 cant angle. This is the reason I went Rome Boss instead of Union. Union bindings don't offer canting. I'm glad I went for Rome.

Comments about Rome 390 Boss Snowboard Bindings 2013:

These are hands down the best bindings that I have ever owned. They take a little time to set up, but once you figure out the system it's really not that big of a deal.
I have two pair of these (both 12-13 model) and the paint chipped a little on one of them, but it's only cosmetic and in my opinion gives it some character. If a paint chip bothers you you probably don't ride enough, gear shouldn't look brand new forever.
I've been riding for about 18 years and depending on weather (and how much work I can skip) get between 30 and 60 days in per season. I've had surgery on both knees and the "Yes, I Can't System" has seriously saved my battered knees. I haven't had to skip a day of riding because of knee swelling/pain since I bought my first pair of these.
Buy these, set them up properly, then go bomb some hills. You will not be disappointed.

My favorite bindings. Super comfy straps, canting is really nice, good adjustability, and nice little features like the rubber strap that pulls the ankle strap out of the way. Paint on the aluminum parts chips easily, but not a big deal.

Comments about Rome 390 Boss Snowboard Bindings 2013:

Only reason I did not give this 5 stars is because of the feature that keeps the strap pulled back. This does make it easier to step into the bindings and attach, however, it drives me crazy when exiting a chairlift, my back foot 90% of the time gets caught up in the top strap since it is being pulled back.

Easy fix, just remove the little rubber piece that pulls the top strap back.

          Now we got 5 stars!!

Have these bindings on my Lib-Tech Hot Knife. I REALLY like that these bindings are full of tech and VERY adjustable. I was looking for a binding that I could adjust to best fit ME and my style and these bindings hit the mark. LOVE the way you can set the ankle strap to hang off to the side for easy entry.

Comments about Rome 390 Boss Snowboard Bindings 2013:

AMAZING bindings. Yes I Can't system is beyond words. Keeps your legs fresher so you can ride all day with no knee pain or leg fatigue. Best binding innovation since cap toe straps!

Ankle straps are soft and very comfortable, toe cap strap feels like its not even there. Made of grippy rubber that really grabs the front of your boot.ratchet strap teeth are a little catchy, straps dont always pop open the first time you flip the buckle.

bad- kinda heavy. installation on board is a little tricky since there are extra steps with the Cant pads. (4 screws into the board like normal, then insert pads and install another screw that holds those in place.
All of the adjustability is a little overwhelming at first, but if you are patient and take time to tweak every option, you will be rewarded with perfect-fit bindings.

tip- put your boots on and get these dialed before you even mount them on your board. Every part of the binding is adjustable from the heel cup to the highback rotation to the strap lengths and positioning, and you don't want to try to figure it out once you're already at the mountain.

            These bindings rule, period.

Purchased this product to replace an older pair of 2008 Rome Targa's that finally blew out last year. I got to say, ROME SDS, NEVER disappoints when the produce a product. These bindings were amazing on the mountain and in the park, the adjustable pad inserts give you added mobility and control while carving and jumping. Lightweight + Extreme Flexability = Ridiculous Comfort, you won't even realize you are wearing these puppies. Only regret...that I didn't drop the extra hundred to go with the newest ROME Targas!! #ROME #ride #freshtracks

A lot of custom options from the Yes I Can't foot bed, high back rotation, high back forward lean angle, toe strap, and heel strap entry. The toe strap fits perfect on my Nike Boots. The heel strap is comfortable.

                Not So Good:

                Not the lightest bindings out.
The straps don't release as easy as others.
Can't foot bed changes are confusing at first.

Comments about Rome 390 Boss Snowboard Bindings 2013:

Perfect combination of aluminum and plastic. I use these for all mountain and park riding. Everything about these bindings is great. The ankle and toe straps hold well without hurting your feet. The canted footbeds make it easier on your knees. I'm currently using the 2.0 degree footbeds. There is tons of adjustments on these bindings and easy to use instructions that come with. The front of these are a little narrow for my size ten 32 lashed boots but I can squeeze them in no problem. For me the flex in these bindings is just right. If you are new to snowboarding then I wouldn't recommend starting out with these unless you are going to have someone adjust them for you.

For the short time I used it they seemed alright. But the ratchet on one of the ankle straps broke after just a couple runs. They're sending me a replacement part, we'll see how that goes.
I got them on sale for a good price but probably wouldn't pay full price for them.

Great service. I switched my choice of bindings after my original choice of bindings had almost shipped, but the service department was able to halt the shipment with no problem and send the new bindings. Great price too.

These are first pair of 390s I have owned. They have handled everything that I have thrown at them so far.
They are a very responsive and comfortable binding but a little on the heavy side.
I recieved them missing one of the extra footbeds and some of the mounting bolts, had exellent customer service and quickly ovenighted them.

Comments about Rome 390 Boss Snowboard Bindings 2013:

I really like the full adjustability of these binds, although if you're not into dorking out over adjustments, you can just as well throw them on your board and ride out of the box. The straps, esp. the ankle are the cushiest. The toe strap can be a little flappy so leave some slack or a little length to be able to get it over your toe. Highbacks are a nice balance of flexy/firm and also fully adjustable. The canting beds are nice, not a huge difference, but riding wider is a bit more comfortable, esp. on my jagged knees. They ride really nice and felt really secure but loose enough to bust whatever tricks I wanted. The only little thing that bothers me is that the footbed is pretty narrow, but that's probably because of my boot/binding combo, could be different for anyone else, just feel like I need to fidgit my foot in before starting to ratchet a strap down. And of course, EVO has the lowest price on these hands down, can't beat it. 10 out of 10 would do again!

This is the perfect compliment to the Artifact Rocker. I've been riding Targas for the pat 6 years and these bindings are way more flexible. The canting makes it easier on your knees and gives you the ability to really tweak those rocker boards.

Comments about Rome 390 Boss Snowboard Bindings 2013:

Very comfortable, seemingly solid construction. Will they work right out of the box? No. But if you enjoy tweaking your bindings to your perfect position, you will love these. Stiff enough to handle moderate speeds downhill yet flexible enough for fun in the park. I'd consider these more for landing jumps and air tricks than jibbing / putting them on a noodle.

Comments about Rome 390 Boss Snowboard Bindings 2013:

great adjustability, comfortable heel strap, excellent toe strap doesn't slip off, just enough metal in the baseplate and heel cup to keep them strong and light, four contact points on the corners for excellent board control and feedback.

not the lightest, but lighter won't make you better. with their comfort and adjustability and feedback these just might.
