Product Details

Flex

The Slash has the perfect combination of playfulness and power. This medium flex gives you the power you need for freeriding and the flexibility you want for freestyle.

Baseplate

V-Rod BaseplateA V-shaped baseplate with a "rod" of edge-to-edge contact limits the binding's footprint on the board, which delivers three things: natural board flex, greater binding flexibility side-to-side, and full power from to toe to heel. You get the perfect blend of flex with pop.

SubBase V-PadPartnered with the V-Rod baseplate, the 3D profile of the EVA and rubber sub-base pad fills the lifted corners of the baseplate for the smoothest side-to-side flex.

Straps

Contour Ankle StrapThe support and comfort is unmatched by any other and solidifies its versatility in flex for all types of shred. New temperature-resistant materials enhance the fit and comfort.

OpenForm Toe StrapThis strap grabs the bottom and top of the boot for maximum hold with minimal pressure. Open coverage and lightweight

AutostrapKeep your straps out of your foot bed in an easily accessible position that bounces back to strap down quickly and efficiently.

Highback

390 Asym HighbackErgonomically designed for seamless response, the 390 is slightly canted to the inside, designed to flex your board and boot. Perfect for both open-to-close park days or long backcountry trips

I have been to some local slopes since I got these bindings and I've been very impressed. I switched from my other ones because I wanted front-in bindings and these have been fantastic. I've not had any issues with them even after some rough crashes. I'm excited to get them out to Colorado in a few weeks and really use them. The only minor problem that I've run into is getting the foam pads to sit on the binding correctly when installing them. But they've stayed on very well since I put them on. I'll take field performance over easy set-up any day. They are responsive heel to toe and never feel too tight on your foot even after not releasing your stationary foot all day. Overall I'm very happy with the bindings.

Decent binding

Overall decent binding. Great construction and build. Does seem to be heavier than competing bindings. Very comfortable, not as adjustable on the fly as my cartels.

Comments about Rome 390 Snowboard Bindings 2013:

These are very comfortable snowboard bindings. My only complaint is the ratchets slipped a little and the rubber on the ratchet handles won't last. After 5 days in Utah, no way the rubber stays on my next trip. While the ratchets slipped some, I did get them to hold after a few trys. They never slipped while I was riding. I had Flow ME-9 (I think thats the model) and these are more responsive. While they are a bit of a hassle, the flows were just too old man for my type of riding.

I got them on sale, so the price was awesome. Only thing I don't like was the sizing. Hard to go from a m/l to the XL when you're a size 10ish boot. Just a gray area that was difficult to overcome.

Comments about Rome 390 Snowboard Bindings 2013:

I owned the same pair of Nitro raiden bindings for 8 years prior to these Romes. I understand technology has changed in this time in the material and construction used, but the difference was outstanding. They were lighter, sturdier, more flexible, softer, basically everything you want your binding to be. I have confidence riding down the hill that my straps will not come loose as occasionally my Nitros would. The only thing I have to say bad about these, is that I ordered the X/XL size due to my size 13 boot and I really have to work to squeeze them in. Once in though I feel firmly locked in and supported. I hope it just doesn't create extra wear on my new boots.

Comments about Rome 390 Snowboard Bindings 2013:

A solid binding. Got my first snowboarding setup this year, ride machette snowboard and rome 390 bindings. Been out riding a few times already and they havent failed me. They look really nice, solid build, super comfortable and smooth. The only con: the lower ratchet gets stuck when trying to release it, gotta move back and forth with it for a litle bit sometimes. Other than that it looks like a long lasting value.

These are extremely adjustable to fit just about anyone's style. evo has the best price and I would recommend anyone to buy these from evo.com
