Rome 390 Snowboard Bindings 2011: The Rome 390 Binding has defined the collective addiction for Rome for the last few years – rails, pow lines, jumps, butters, cliff drops, slow speeds, high speeds – has been reborn. The revolutionary “rocker” V-Rod Baseplate uses a narrow footprint to let your board flex as naturally as possible, while merging toe-to-heel power with increased side-to-side flexibility. Above the heel hoop, the new Asym highback follows the inward lean of your lower leg while also maintaining the power input point on the outside upper corner. All built on Rome’s unique UnderWrap chassis for direct energy transmission and freestyle freedom.
Baseplate
V-rod Baseplates incorporate a “Rocker” baseplate design that lets the board flex while delivering toe-to-heel power and side-to-side freedom.
Straps
ConFormist.2 Toe Strap is the best-fitting, lowest profile toe strap in snowboarding.
Contour Ankle Strap is low-profile and has a 3D shape and cold-resistant gel to ensure a bio-correct fit with you ankle.
9Times Ankle Strap positioning lets you decide how much ankle support you want.
Highback
390 Asym Highbacks are canted inwardly but with a pronounced lateral corner for a powerful, anatomical fit and are cored for lightness.
0°-12° of rotation of the highbacks places power where you like it.
Additional Features
Adjustable Toe and Heel Ramp for a customized fit to the length and shape of your boot.
AutoStraps are cleared for strapping in quickly.
QuickStrap.2 technology means tool-free strap length adjustment.
QuickLock forward Lean for tool-free forward lean adjustment.
SubBase-V Pad softens hard landings, dampens and adds side-to-side flexibility.

Comments about Rome 390 Snowboard Bindings 2011:

The 390 is one of the best selling bindings season after season for a reason. It's light weight, fully customizable and bomb proof. The 390 can take anything you can dish out and then some. New this season is the V-Rod baseplate which allows direct energy transfer toe to heel for powerful turning while allowing your board to flex around the binding from tip to tail for perfect flex. The new Canted highback provides tweekabaility with full support. The 390 is built for riders who want a powerful and flexable binding that can take over 100 days of abuse and keeps on ticking. If this is the kind of rider you are the 390 will reward you day after day on the hill. -Seth

I used the 390 mainly for offpiste, it works well easy to get in and out and it very comfortable.
After a short use it has some worn out in the paint

Great binding for the price, super adjustable, I am pretty pleased. They look good, feel great. My only problem is the ratchets sometimes come undone easily, but it's not a huge issue.

Comments about Rome 390 Snowboard Bindings 2011:

Primarily used this in the park. Comfortable binding, straps gel design fit the boots comfortably. Rome stiffens out the front of the binding for more control and flex with a softer heal. The canted foot bed system felt about average. The bindings install was a bit difficult, but once it was on, worked fine.

Comments about Rome 390 Snowboard Bindings 2011:

I've always like Rome bindings mainly cause I love the stretchy cap strap that fits perfect over boots. But I also love how they ride and the ease of adjustment on the straps themselves. They tool-less clip made getting the right fit so easy on hill. They had a great flex for park and some all mountain jibbing as well. The only cons were that these were a bit heavier of bindings, especially compared to the Targa's. They seem burly but you could tell they had some weight to them. Also, the new canting system didn't really make and impact on my riding, but then again, I only rode these for a couple runs so it might have been nicer on my knees, who knows. The downside to the canting system is that it's a separate piece from the footbed that makes initial installation and tweaking stance a bit of a hassle.
