Ride SPI Snowboard Bindings 2010: Representing over a decade of evolution, the Ride SPi snowboard binding is a cornerstone of the Ride line. Combining Ride’s new Wedgie 3.0 Footbed, PowerFlex highback and Convertible Grip toe strap for 2010, the SPI creates the perfect blend of lightweight comfort and customizable response for all-terrain freestyle riding.

  • Straps:Traditional two-strap system with Ride’s new Convertible TL Toe Strap that can be worn on your toes or in the more traditional over-your-foot style. No screws, no extra parts – place it where you want and go. Rides new Comfort Ankle Strap features tool-less center adjustment for quick on-hill fixes.
  • Highbacks:Ride’s PowerFlex highback has a good comfortable flex for intermediate and advanced shredders. Features adjustable forward lean and padded back for extra comfort
  • Baseplates:The Comfort Footbed with EVA Shockpads keep your feet feeling good all day long and also helps absorb impact from unexpected (or expected for that matter) drops. Ride’s new Wedgie 3.0 footbed offers the best angle for the advanced all-terrain rider looking for extra control, drive and pop.

Great binding if you use it for what it's built for. It's highback is very well...high...giving great response going heelside. It's very rigid so keep it away from the park for the most part. Not very light but not heavy, I am a big guy (6'1 210) so I don't notice it but if your a lil' fella go with something a little less dense. The toe strap is awesome, all my Ride bindings have the adjustable toe strap, it's just the perfect toe strap. The footbed has a great aborbtion factor for those cliff hucks where the landing wasn't quite as nice as you thought. I had these strapped to my Yukon and my Prophet and they deliver great confidence when riding steeps, chutes, powder, anything purely related to just riding. Took a while to get the ankle strap dialed in to where it felt 100% comfortable but this is common with all bindings. Bottom line is it's a tough, insanely durable, extremely responsive binding that I would use anywhere that involves just riding the mountain.

Good bidings. Very responsive, but getting in and out of the ratchets is extremely difficult. Most of the time I have to close fists and bang it out. I stop riding them and switch out to Unions, all I have to say is, I wish I didn't buy the Ride SPI.

Comments about Ride SPI Snowboard Bindings 2010:

5 days so far on these bindings and they're pretty rad. My boots fit snug and if you're a bigger guy like me, there isn't the creaking you get with plastic bindings, which is refreshing. My latest day (last Friday) was 14 degress on the mountain and they didn't freeze up. It took a couple runs to get used to the big hi backs... These are the biggest hi backs I've ever had but front to back movement is great and heel lift is non existant. My only con is that they're kinda heavy, but they're metal... What do you expect?

Comments about Ride SPI Snowboard Bindings 2010:

These bindings are sweet! I like that the strap is either an over the top or an over the toe. The only problem I had was with the screws on the heel cup. I had to tighten them about twice a day and once in the morning. It didn't take long for the philips heads to start to strip. [...]

Comments about Ride SPI Snowboard Bindings 2010:

I use these non-stop throughout the season and they've shown little wear and tear with 85 days logged. The only problem I have is the release switch is easy to kick loose on your toe strap, then you look down on the lift and see that your one strap away from a failed attempt at flying. Besides that, they have been nothing but solid. The convertible toe strap is a big improvement over past years models. The high-back clearance is perfect, you will never have to worry about those nasty fixed gripped lifts snapping your bindings in half. You can't go wrong with Ride.

Comments about Ride SPI Snowboard Bindings 2010:

Pretty solid so far. Very responsive and seemingly durable, which is big for me since I have a talent for breaking things. I've ridden about 25 days on these so far with no real issues. Noticed that the toe strap only goes so tight before the ratchet skips. But you have to really sinch em down before that happens, and you don't need em that tight anyway.

          The Quality is outstanding.

Only thing that I not understand is the huge price difference between Europe and the US

Comments about Ride SPI Snowboard Bindings 2010:

I work at Big Mtn in MT and ride just about everyday, including days in the backcountry. I love these bindings. I bought the 2009's this year because of the incredible price and they haven't failed. My only complaint is the ratchet system isn't the best quality. Sometimes slips when tightening and sticks when exiting. Overall well worth it even if you pay full price.
