I work on the snow as an instructor. I've enjoyed Ride bindings in the past and this one is no different. First season with them, only complaint is sticky ratchets when getting out. Front foot is a fight everytime to get out of. Rear, not as bad but all fours are consistent. Previous EX set were wonderfully easy to get out of. Will try some adjustments for next season to see if it helps release. Can't comment on wear and tear, seems to have held up so far. Previous EX's as above lasted 7 seasons with only back foot toe and ankle straps needing replaced once each. Not sure this one will live nearly as long with the release issue digging into the straps.

Will recommend for regular riding, because great responding bindings and rear foot release is still manageable in a daily riding environment. In an instructor application, however, I would not recommend. too much fuss and hassle for what our jobs demand.

Comments about Ride RX Snowboard Bindings 2009:

Great all-around binding, worked great this past epic winter in the east. Only drawback is the difficulty getting in and out of the bindings. Front foot is guaranteed to be a hassle, but since you only take out a few times a day it's not too conscientious. The back binding is a struggle too, but otherwise, once locked and loaded these are sweet Rides.

As an instructor, the aforementioned issue is exacerbated by my necessity to get in and out of bindings when teaching a lesson. I would use these as daily riders and even advanced sessions, but not for beginner slope sessions.

Bought these bindings for my little brother. He broke the latch that adjust the binding toe strap the first time he was adjusting them. Cheap part but everything else is great about them.

I really like how light but durable they are. I ride alot of park and these bindings have great support and cushion to them. The one problem that I do have is that the bottom locking pieces are plastic, but overall very pleased with them thanks alot!
