The prime flex and lightweight chassis make these an easy-to-use pair of bindings that will give you both control and top-of-the-line performance.
Baseplate
Contraband™ system - Offers superior side to side flex while giving you perfect heel-toe support The system is easily adjustable for best all-around fit.
Wedgie™ 2.5 Footbed - Provides ideal angle for advanced freestyle riders. Comes with landing pods for added leverage and huge pop.
Urethane Rollbar™ Basepads - Provide shock absorption and dampening for high-impact riding.
Aluminum Response Disc - A 2-slot design that is built to mount to both 4-hole and 3-hole patterns and grip-tooth washers provide bomber locking power.
Straps
Balance Core Ankle Straps with V-Grip™ - Made of 3D shaped EVA with a cored internal strap pocket to lighten the load and offer enhanced flex, comfort and response.
UltraLite Ratchets - A light, minimalist ratchet design

Freeflex Highbacks - They have a flat-back shape with asymmetrical flex for a binding that attacks the whole mountain.

                  This was a gamble. I had read some reviews, but wasn't sure about what these bindings were going to offer or how they would handle my style of riding. They reset every bar I had ever set. Not only that, but I had people asking me all over the place what I was riding. They're easy to jib with, hit kickers with, soft landings and great overall use.

                            These binders are light and easy to get in and out of, but not meant for aggressive use. If you are either a beginner/intermediate or a jibstar, they will probably be fine. But the toe strap does not hold the boot in place very effectively if you are going fast and jumping off big stuff. Its also much harder to transfer a lot of power to your board in order to yoke it around to salvage a sketchy landing. All in all, I would recommend any other Ride binding in preference to these.

                              It's sad to see Ride is ending its Contraband single strap bindings, I originally started snowboarding with regular Ride Contrabands, and needed a back up so the ill eagle was perfect, the design is amazing, the quick strapping is QUICK for quick unstrap/strapping in, and the bindings are very comfortable.
