Product Info

K2 Formula Snowboard Bindings 2013: The cornerstone of the K2 Binding lineup, the K2 Formula Bindings are clean traditional two-strap bindings stacked with a time and team proven technical feature set. Offering canted footbeds, Pro-Fusion GF chassis lightness and Rocklock highback coring; the Formula Bindings are beyond solid and dependable.

Product Details

Baseplate

Pro-Fusion GF chassis is cleanly designed and focused on lightweight durability. On-board power ramp adjust, and on-board toe strap mounting positions, with a multi-position ankle strap mount. Made with glass filled Nylon for responsive performance.

Multi-compatible and Offset discs feature a two slot design and mount on 4-hole and 3-hole patterns. The offset slots allow for toe-heel centering by rotating it 180 degrees.

Canted Seamless EVA has an EVA cover with a polycarbonate support frame that prevents snow build-up. Tool-less ‘Pop Top’ disc covers for easy access to disc mount screws.

Straps

Custom Caddi ankle straps provide you with a super cush performance from durable PU laminates.

Auto EZ-Set is cored for a lightweight and secure fit over the toe or on top of your boot. Independently adjustable top and bottom bands for a custom fit. Tool-less cam-lock adjustment.

Hinge mount provides easy entry and exit from the binding by allowing the ankle strap to move freely away from the footbed.

NEW Cam-Lock Centering is tool-less and secure adjustment allows you to precisely center your straps with ease and speed.

Highback

RockLock highbacks are asymmetrically shaped to match your natural stance, providing seamless power transfer, tool-less forward lean adjustment and Thermo-Formed EVA Calfpad.

Airlock Highback technology eliminates the need for traditional forward lean components, creating a light, high-performance highback.

Additional Features

NEW Mega RADchet’s are solid, smooth and built to last. Made with large release levers for easy out.

EZ-Feed ratchets have a wider, tapered mouth, allowing for easy entry.

Comments about K2 Formula Snowboard Bindings 2013:

First pair of bindings I've bought. Very simple to use, but definitely grips my boots very closely. That's both good and annoying. It's nigh impossible for the boots to slip out, but I need a bit of a jerk when I step out of the bindings.

Comments about K2 Formula Snowboard Bindings 2013:

Have 2 pair of the these, love 'em. Great solid mid-stiff all mtn/freeride binding. Use them with k2 Maysis and they pair well as expected. very easy to adjust, and all tool less. Great alternative to Burton with a lower price tag.

Comments about K2 Formula Snowboard Bindings 2013:

Once I got set them I didn't think about these bindings... good product no worries. Lots of adjustments allow a solid fit.
Saved one star because they held my heel so tight I couldn't step out of them when loose. I had to yank my foot free. Could be my boots, Salomon Savage, just don't play well with these bindings. Also they're a little slow on the "slap" release when sliding back to the lift at the end of a run.

Comments about K2 Formula Snowboard Bindings 2013:

Easy to setup and tweak on the hill since only the base plate requires a screwdriver. Everything else is tool-less, and can be done by hand. It isn't the most adjustable binding since it is a uni-body construction and the ankle strap can't be moved, but it just plain works.

Comments about K2 Formula Snowboard Bindings 2013:

These bindings are easy to get in and out of and they seem to make the board more responsive. My K2 boots interface well with them. Because the ankle strap flops out of the way it is fairly easy to strap in without sitting down.

Awesome binding. Extremely responsive for how light weight it is. Ratchets are a hastle to bind in. Not a fan of the toe strap. Once your in they are great. Would recommend to anyone. WAAAAAAY better than the burton freestyles I was using before

Great product, did have some issues with the first few uses -- the binding popped open a few times. Had to tighten the bindings and take it into the shop for them to look at.

Comments about K2 Formula Snowboard Bindings 2013:

Snow would always get stuck in the strap/release mechanism. If you don't 'clear' it every run then it will be VERY hard to release the strap. I've been renting/borrowing friend's gear and never had this issue.
