Comments about K2 Company Snowboard Bindings 2014:

These replaced an old pair of Ride EX bindings which performed admirably for the past 7 seasons but came with super soft screws which ended up getting stripped. The tool less on the fly adjustments on the K2s work well and are a welcome change.

On the mountain, they are responsive and everything stayed in place. The Harsmellow shock pads did a good job of absorbing chatter. Ratchet operation was smooth and I didn't notice any slippage but getting them undone took slightly more effor than my old Rides. Binding stiffness I would rate as medium.

Knocking off a star because after just the first day, I noticed the ladders on the straps are already slightly chewed up. Not too badly yet but something to keep an eye on.

Comments about K2 Company Snowboard Bindings 2014:

So here's my unbiased review of the 2014 company's. I just rode them hard for 4 days straight at Breck with temps ranging from 35 to -5.

These bindings are solid, that's just the best word to use. The toe straps are excellent (one part is hard, one is soft). Ankle straps are relatively plush, adjust-ability is great.

My only complaint is the lack of instruction on the highback adjustment. It's a different system than the standard flip. As for the rachets eating straps, mine has a tiny amount of wear. I also got pretty aggressive with the racheting towards the last day!

Comments about K2 Company Snowboard Bindings 2014:

Responsive baseplate but very soft highback. Canting is great. One of the most comfortable ankle straps ive tried and the adjustable toe cap works really well. Overall a solid all mountain freestyle binding for those who dont mind a softer highback.

Comments about K2 Company Snowboard Bindings 2014:

These bindings are actually really nice. Very lightweight, infinitely adjustable, and a great all around fit. The ratchets, I will say, got a tiny, tiny bit chewed up after the first day, but it isn't a huge deal to me.

Bottom line, these bindings are top notch.

Comments about K2 Company Snowboard Bindings 2014:

I returned these bindings after 5 days for the following reasons:
1.) Bad ratchet system that chews up the teeth on the strap. Very difficult to get a secure seal.
2.) Annoying hinge on heel strap that makes it flop underneath the board when getting on and off chair lifts.
3.) Couldn't get them to stay tight on my 3 screw burton board.

I honestely don't have a good word to say about these bindings. I went back to my old beat up 2005 mission bindings in the interim after returning and found them far more superior. These bindings have all the new tech like canted marshmallow beds etc, but have messed up all the basics.
