The GNU Weird Snowboard Binding may seem weird at first, but you'll get used to it. The combination of asymmetric highback and ankle strap with canted footbeds will have your body aligned to take flight and poke out that chicken salad you have been reaching for all season. Even if throwing weird grabs isn't your thing, the GNU Weird Snowboard Bindings provide the comfort and response you're looking for. Weird is the new cool.
Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 6
Baseplate
FT-3 Baseplate - The FT-3 baseplate provides a super smooth ride yet is engineered for response. The unique baseplate is canted in addition to the footbed for bio-mechanical stability and power. It's perfect for the rider looking for a binding with mobility and balance.
Triple Dampening - Shock and vibration absorption system
4 & 3 hole compatible disc
Straps
Aysm Inverted Tri-Panel - Ankle strap is designed to conform to your boot with a smooth consistent fit, increased lateral support and medial mobility.
Thin Fit Toe Strap - Thin Fit Straps have an oversized surface area for extra stability and control. The flexible design conforms to the shape of your boot toe to secure fit.
Micro Buckle - Adjust strap tension while you're on the go - you can tighten a couple of clicks for a big hit or loosen for relaxed terrain without even slowing down. Use the micro buckle to release the strap for additional exit and entry space in steep terrain, too.
Highback
FT-4 Aysm Highback - This highback is designed for smooth response and mobility. The cored grid design creates an exceptionally light highback with inward angle for bio-correct ergonomic support.
Additional Features
Auto Open Levers - These levers open the straps automatically when the high-back is lowered and close with just one click.
Pressure Relief Button - Press the button to relax ankle strap pressure on your front foot. Increased blood flow keeps feet comfortable and warm. Keeps your strap pre-sets in place for the ride down.

Specs

  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
