Comments about GNU Weird Snowboard Bindings 2014:

I am somewhere in the middle of the intermediate pack. I have about 5 days on these bindings and love them. I did have some buckle issues, but mervin took care of it with their famous customer care.

Overall, bindings seem to have a good connection to the board, and the rear-entry is good to excellent. Newer versions (2013 / 2014) have automatic partial strap release, which really makes a big difference over the older versions.. The buckle locks are also a great feature to prevent strap position changes during transport or when on the lift.

Overall, I am extremely happy with my bindings, well worth the price.

I just remembered, there is one thing that can get annoying, sometimes when strapping in on the lift the toe cap will be a little lower (or rotated forward). If you raise the higback it will be very tight (boot is essentially sticking out the back a little now).. If you force it (at least with my boots), the higback will catch the lip on the back of the boot. So, when you try to release to fix the toecap the highback doesn't want to go all the way down. It seems to be getting better as the toecap conforms to my boots though, so I am hoping this will go away completely.
