Flow Trilogy Snowboard Bindings 2012 – Total convenience, comfort and control, the ultimate trilogy in binding characteristics. The Flow Trilogy binding is engineered for performance, comfort and convenience, all in a sleek and durable package for endless shredding fun. The bindings feature a molded baseplate designed with a wider platform for stability and ease of entry and exit, and the DuPont POM plastic that responds quickly and dampens chatter.

Product Details

Baseplate

VentilBaseplate: The H-Series slight softer baseplate with the Ventilated hiback makes for a mellow ride while still eliminating those bumps on the groomers, and Flow’s “Power Bridge” design gives you the stiffness and responsiveness you demand from a binding. The baseplate is also slightly wider to accommodate boots with a larger footprint, and provide a stable platform on your board. ated hibacks feature an integrated back flare at the lower edge. This virtually eliminates any risk of the hiback catching on the heel of the boot when getting out, and it also serves to stiffen the overall hiback structure through enhanced 3D shaping.

Straps

Flow’s unique single-piece foot straps distribute pressure evenly over a wider boot surface, so they won’t cut off circulation, crush your foot, or limit your flex range.

Composite I-Flex Strap’s gives the ideal support for all-mountain riders.

3D molded core and internal multiple-panel frame for precise form-fitting to any type of boot.

Slim construction to reduce bulk while enhancing overall flex and support.

The Locking Airframe MINIratchet buckles provide micro adjustment of the 3D Power Strap.

Additional Features

Flow’s Power Triangle links the hiback directly to the center area of the baseplate with a high-tension steel cable, creating a structurally powerful and very responsive triangular geometry. As a result, you’ll have more control with no energy loss and less weight.

Free+ Snaplock lets you adjust your forward lean without having to get out of your bindings or asking the lifty for a screwdriver.

Awesome bindings, are comfortable and extremely easy to get in and out of, also awesome coming off the lift because its like you already are strapped in!

Only con for these is if you fly or travel with a snowboard bag, they don't fit as easily as standard bindings, not going to take a star for that but something to think about.

I have been a snowboarder for 16 years. I have used a number if different bindings, and once I tried Flows, I didn't want to go back. Getting in and out of them is a breeze on groomed runs, and I feel like they clamp my boot down better then any straps (i.e. no slop when turning). However, these particular bindings do not seem to hold the buckles down to the strap, meaning the actual buckle sticks away and out from the strap as you go down the mountain. For me, a simple zip tie loop around the strap and buckle will likely be the fix. Not sinching it and keeping a loop will allow for future adjustment and still keep the buckle down. Furthermore, if you are in deep powder, these bindings don't perform well. The snow has a way of "grabbing" them, which causes speed and momentum loss, plus putting you in an uncomfortable situation of being way over your nose.

Overall, they are an okay binding, for grommed runs. I don't mind tweeking the straps instead of buying new ones. But again, not a POW binding.

Comments about Flow Trilogy Snowboard Bindings 2012:

My initial impression of these binding out of the box was good. They look great. However, I noticed the ratchet system is constructed of plastic. I don't know if this will hold up to the cold here on the east coast. I bet they will and hopefully ride awesome. I will update this review once this coming season comes underway.

Comments about Flow Trilogy Snowboard Bindings 2012:

I'm still a learning snowboarder, and the first thing I learned is that uncomfortable bindings suck. After doing my research and looking for something that wouldn't break the bank, I found the Trilogy bindings by Flow. these things are simply awesome.
Less time binding up, more time riding, and no more unhappy cold toes!
They look cool and function wonderfully, so i've been recommending these to all my friends. So happy with these bindings!

Comments about Flow Trilogy Snowboard Bindings 2012:

If you haven't tried Flows you are missing out. Rear entry bindings are the best. You'll be riding away while everyone else is still sitting in the snow trying to ratchet up.

These take a few runs to get set up the way you like them, but once you do, from then on out, just slip in, snap the back up and off you go.

          Won't ride with anything else.

These bindings solved all my problems with snowboarding. You get in so quickly, nobody on skies has to wait. Furthermore these are the first bindings that solved my problem of getting pain in my feet after a while. After hours and hours of fun, my feet still feel as if they are surrounded by a very soft blanket. I guess this is due to the fact that they use one big surface to lock in your feet instead of two straps that cut off the blood circulation. The responsiveness is also excellent. By far the best snowboard related purchase I've ever made.

These are great for quickness after the lift. They are also wider than Flow's other bindings, which I needed for my Salomon boots. However, from my first run, two of the ratchets would pop up on every run. They wouldn't actually loosen but the handle would come undone - I didn't like that at all

This product works as well as expected. The construction quality is good, and one you get the binding set up right, the rear entry can speed things up. Great for the price, if you don't want to spend the extra dough for NASTY strap.

Comments about Flow Trilogy Snowboard Bindings 2012:

I've given these bindings a few trips up to the snow with no major complaints. I like the rear entry ability of these bindings even tho it can be pretty difficult to get the high back up into position if you set them up as tight as I like to. Occasionally I will have to wiggle my foot a bit and use two hands to lift the back up, but it sure beats trying to find a nice place to plop your butt down in the snow to strap in. They can be plenty tight and supportive contrary to popular belief. It's all in the proper setup.

Watch the setup video linked on this website for proper setup procedures if you aren't much of a reader. The vid helps a lot. The only real thing worth noting is that the mini ratchet levers don't stay down all the time. The bindings still stay tight and locked but the levers on the ratchets don't always stay in their "locked" position. It just looks kinda funny. It has no effect on riding and you probably won't notice til you are back on the lift and looking down at your board

Comments about Flow Trilogy Snowboard Bindings 2012:

The good: easy entry/exit. Much easier than ratchet bindings; good adjustability for custom fit; solidly built; reasonably priced.

The not-so-good: front ratchet tabs sometimes flip up, but this is minor

I got these at a great price thanks to EVO so I'm not super steamed. They don't work as well for me as for others I know. If you are a small guy (-160) these would probably suit you, however if you are a bigger guy (180+)these bindings flex quite a bit, and they come loose if you really want to rip on them. Also, and especially once loose your heel will move up and down about an inch in the binding. Kills your feel and control, saps your confidence in your board.

I had a difficulty setting up at first but then it was my fault now it is so comfy and easy to strap on using the rear entry system, I sometime notice people stare at my at the top... I got off of my chair, put my foot in and i am riding all in 3 seconds :)

Great bindings. I will only buy flows from now on! Quick clip in but hard to clip in while setting on the ground.

It took me a couple tries to get used to the rear entry style bindings, but once I got strapped in, the fit was pretty sweet. No overly tight spots which you can sometimes feel with other standard bindings. I was able to feel a noticeable sensitivity in response with these as well.

I definitely recommend these. Affordable, comfortable, and they seem to work very well. But like one of the other reviewers mentioned, the ratchets seem a tad flimsy. Hopefully they hold up!
