Product Info

The Flow NX2-GT Snowboard Bindings are all-mountain destroyers with technical performance that will keep you in control of any situation. Hybrid PowerCapStrap keeps things super light and responsive, while N.A.S.T.Y. and the LSR-buckles allow SpeedEntry and SideEntry options. Extra OC-Kush dampening under the forefoot absorbs harsh terrain and puts the Kush into comfort; this is your fix for an all-terrain TKO.

Product Details

Flex

Flex Rating: 9 (1 Soft - 10 Very Stiff)A very stiff flex for advanced to expert riders looking for a stable and responsive binding.

Baseplate

Aluminum Alloy Rockered BaseplateEngineered to transmit energy directly to the board without loss of efficiency. The minimized contact area with the board channels your power where it needs to go while the rockered corners of the baseplate allow any type of board to maintain optimal flex.

OC Kush BasepadOC-Kush cushioning dampens landings and absorbs chatter. Featured on the NX2 series in the OC-Kush basepad, which fits perfectly to the rockered baseplate shape for efficient energy transfer. Some NX2 and Fuse series models feature an OC-Kush toe and keep impact inserts for additional comfort.

BankBeds with OC-Kush Impact InsertsBankBeds are full-length EVA-footbeds with 2.5 degree canting for optimized fit, support and energy transfer. Featured on the NX2, Fuse, and ISIS series.

Straps

Active Strap TechnologySpeedEntry has never been more convenient without sacrificing the superior performance, comfort and power transmission that Flow bindings are famous for. With their revolutionary New Active Strap Technology (N.A.S.T.Y.), the strap automatically lifts you up when you open the reclining hiback and actively tightens again when you close the hiback. N.A.S.T.Y. reduces friction and creates more room so that getting in and out of your binding is faster and easier than ever.

Hybrid PowerCapStrapThe HYBRID PowerCapStrap is a revolutionary hybrid between Flow's SpeedEntry convenience and conventional 2-strap SideEntry, merging the best of both. The toe cap delivers a perfect fit every time.

LSR BucklesThese innovative LockingSlapRatchet buckles give you the option to easily get in and out of your bindings any which way you like, whether SpeedEntry or SideEntry.

Highback

ModBack Hiback with Aluminum Alloy HeelcupThe modular hibacks separate the lower and upper zones for targeted strength, support, and flex where you need it. On the NX2, Fuse, and ISIS series, the lower zone also automatically triggers N.A.S.T.Y.

I was quite excited to receive these bindings. they look great and seem to have it all. when i finally did get them,I noticed 2 things that didn't work for me. after putting them on my board and trying them out on carpet in my room, i couldn't get the toe strap to stay in the right place so that i could just put my foot in, lift the highback and go. after several attempts, i decided the toe strap was a great idea for Flow, but it took away from the essence of a Flow Binding (put your foot in, lift highback and go). Secondly, i don't like the fact there were not ratchets on both sides of the strap. i think its poor design to only be able to tighten from one side. MY older NXT-AT's had ratchets on all sides and it was awesome this way! everything else about this binding was pretty cool. when they were on correctly, they were very comfortable. but ultimately i went with the NX2-AT's instead which has a more traditional Flow top strap.

I ordered these as a replacement for my K2 Cinch CTS bindings. (Gave my CTS bindings to a friend who couldn't afford new bindings.) I took them out of the box and started to play around with the adjustments to see how everything worked. There is a "channel" that the heel strap fits in so that the end does not flop around. I tore a hole in it by playing with the ratchets. The base plates were very stiff (which is what I wanted) there was a lot of flex in the back (if you lean back on your heel edge - the binding flexes a LOT in that direction (Not at all what I wanted). Sent the bindings back and got K2 Cinch CTX bindings. K2 base is plastic instead of aluminum and flexes a little bit more but not as much as the CTS. K2 CTS and CTX have very little flex against the high back, cost hundreds less and did not tear right out of the box.

Comments about Flow NX2-GT Snowboard Bindings 2014:

Here in MI we don't have a lot of big mountain options, unless you travel far north. Although, this winter has been an absolute blessing here, the true test is out west. Here we ride though heavily wooded backcountry with icy obstacles. These bindings have great response for these types of conditions. I have supreme control when on slick/icy surfaces or powder. Quick turns and maximum control over my board. I'm a firm believer in using matching brands for boots and bindings so, I'm using the Rival boot with the NX2-GT, they work great together. It all works just how it should with the greatest of ease getting in and out of the boots and bindings. I like the design all around.
The only thing that didn't quite make sense to me was on the hybrid ankle strap. The strap that goes from the ankle to the toe (hybrid area), it's not tight to the boot at all when fully strapped down in the binding. I understand how it's not really necessary for it too touch there, so it's probably not an issue. Even with that being the case it makes no effect on the comfort or control of the board. It's still a very tight fit without having to over tighten the straps. SOLID RIDE!

Comments about Flow NX2-GT Snowboard Bindings 2014:

I haven't been Snowboarding for long, but when I first started I bought bindings that I would have to sit down and ratchet myself into them. Which means I would have to get up from the sitting position or turn around to my stomach to get up. Doing so I was using a lot of energy and wearing my self out. I decided to search for a binding which would allow me to strap in while standing. I came across the Flow bindings and one K2 binding which had the reclining hi-back. While the K2 cinch bindings do the same thing the aluminum construction of these bindings seemed sturdier than the plastic of the cinch.

I like the way the strap lifts up to allow your boot to slide in easier, however, I to find that the toe strap needs to be adjusted sometimes once you've lifted the hi-back in place. They feel a lot more responsive on the slopes than the cheaper bindings I bought to start with and softer on the landings too.

Aside from the toe strap and the price these are some pretty tight bindings, I can't wait to see what flow has for us in the future...

Comments about Flow NX2-GT Snowboard Bindings 2014:

These bindings take a bit to figure out the adjustments but once you do it is like they aren't even there. I have been riding since '88, and have never been much of gear tech, but these bindins are a game changer for those who do all mountain. Would not recommend for half pipe good for trickin around the mountain.

Comments about Flow NX2-GT Snowboard Bindings 2014:

Awesome performance and very adjustable. Incredibly responsive or can easily be adjusted to be less so. Best performing all mountain bindings I have tried and comfortable too. The only drawback is that the Flow hybrid system makes it harder to engage the binding than the traditional Flow design. The hybrid toe strap does not allow your boot to get far enough forward to be able to lockin the hiback unless you loosen it. The traditional flow binding is way easier to lockin if that's what you are looking for. Go hybrid if you want a more responsive design. Just my 2 cents.

Comments about Flow NX2-GT Snowboard Bindings 2014:

Great bindings, very stiff. There are tons of adjustments to get the fit just right. Currently using with Burton boots and you can tell they would be better with Flow boots. The NASTY system is so easy to use I often put my rear binding on while on the lift and ride straight off, unless the attendants aren't cool... Construction is good, I'd almost rather have only the locking straps instead of also the LSR, though I find myself ratcheting them depending on conditions. While my friends are complaining of worn ratchet straps I'm hitting the slopes! I'd say this is a great step forward for Flow, primarily because of the NASTY system. You can tell it's one of the first versions of this design though. My biggest complaint is that the ratchet straps can easily tear through the mesh on the face of the binding. It's not a huge deal to me though because the mesh is cosmetic only. The other flaw in the design is that the toe cap can easily be overtightened and I think it could tear in places. The toe cap is only thick on the bottom where it should be thick on top too. The newest NX2s have a revised toe strap and upper strap which solves both of these issues. If you can get your hands on the 2015 model, I highly suggest doing it!!

I have only been once and it has been a great addition so far! The newly designed latch systems works very well. It took a while to get them adjusted correctly but they are now working great! I feel like I have total control of my board, and they are light weight, what more can you ask for?

Before I was able to make the first run with these, the plastic cinch buckle broke into two, at the entrance to the lift. They become pretty much useless before making it down the hill once.

These checked a lot of boxes for me but at the end of the day, the manufacturing quality seems to be very bad.

Right from the jump, these bindings were a great buy. Stiff, yet still comfortable. You will see people complain about the ease of entry, they are no trouble at all. You don't need these binding locked down so you can't feel your feet. Adjust them once and forget it. I love the banked foot beds as well, much easier on my knees after all day.

I took a chance on these because of the technology they claim. I'm so glad I did. They are the best bindings I've ridden. I've had mutiple brands and models over the years to compare to. They match up perfect to the 2014 attack banana as well as any alternative camber board. Don't listen to all the haters out there. They dont have enough to compare to or they cant ride. Every binding i've had has cons except these. also your heal doesnt move like the other model flow bindings.

Best thing about these nx2 GT's is the n.a.s.t.y. feature on the rear entry. Smooth entry (works better in the snow). No problems. Easy adjustability. Light and firm with good response. Some people say the the toe strap lacks support over the toes but I switched them to the opposite binding and works great. You may have to fiddle with your strap one in s while when constantly using the rear entry add you slip in to them, but I don't regret buying them. I'm strapped in in a matter of 5 seconds, I don't have to sit or stand Un comfortably while trying to strap in. These bindings work great for my skill level and if you're shredding in the park where your constantly strapping in.
