I ride in the Northeast (Vermont and New York) and have to get in and out of my bindings a lot. I'm not riding in Vail or some other huge mountain where they have longer runs. I also like to get as many runs in as I can, in a short amount of time. I just like to bomb up and down. I have to say, I love these bindings! Once these are dialed in, they are a piece of cake to use and have all the new tech. After 2 days of riding on them and setting the ratchets just right, I literally get in them while moving off the lift, and I'm gone. Just step in, lift the hiback, and bomb. This can all be done while skating off the lift. I haven't had to sit down to put on my bindings and ratchet them down all season. You also don't have to crank down Flows and make them real tight. They are designed to fit looser on the boot. I'm a size 11.5 boot, and I found these to have plenty of room for my foot. Even though the straps are not cranked down, the response is great no matter what. Just trust it. Because of this, I don't have any pressure points on my foot at all. The footbeds are padded nicely and are good for absorbing the sometimes rough hardpack terrain on the ice coast. I do have to say, when I just got them I HATED THEM and wanted to return them. I did not feel secure because they fit looser, and it took a day or 2 of riding to dial in the fit just right. They were a pain in the you know what the first day or two. However, now I can honestly say I will probably never buy another type of binding again. They are just so much easier to use. They are canted, very responsive, and have good dampening. You also have the option of getting in and out of them the "standard way" if you don't wanna use the quick release. Overall, very nice job Flow. I'm converted

Bought my husband and I each a pair of the bindings thinking that the step in would provide us older generation an easy on and off binding so we wouldn't have to sit in the snow all the time. It ended up being more effort to step in than to just sit in the snow and buckle up. Add to it, on our very first day up at Breckenridge and first time using them, the back heel snapped on my husband's binding and he ended up renting for the rest of the week. The bindings were not cheap and I would not waste my money on the Flow brand again. I found it interesting, too, that not one shop in Breckenridge sold Flows and pretty much bad mouthed them when I went around asking questions about them. (I was trying to determine if the discomfort I felt personally from my bindings were due to design, adjustments, or the fact that they were new and the cables needed to stretch a bit.) Waste of money.

Comments about Flow NX2-AT Snowboard Bindings 2013:

The best bindings I have owned so far! I never owned a pair of Flow bindings, but after riding these babies, I am in love :) Flow made all the right changes to this binding and they are amazing!! Only downside is that they took me an hour to set up on my board, but once they are dialed in, it was all good. For sure, on the list of best 5 bindings made this year.

Super responsive, well built binding. Very easy to get too tight with the Nasty system.
Once you are dialed in how ever it's like your board is just an extension of you're feet.

The speedy entry is really nice I can finish half or more of a run before others have strapped up!

Comments about Flow NX2-AT Snowboard Bindings 2013:

I used the five bindings this season to keep up with my friends. I have been riding for 24 years and I can get my bindings done up fast, but the flows are way faster. My friends were fine with it, but it irritated me seeing them standing there waiting for me every run.
The nx2's are even better with the nasty system and curved out heel cup, so easy to get in and out.. Hold down is as good as or slightly better than my cartels. A little bit of forward lean and my boots don't move.
I was a bit worried about the new lsr rachet because some people wrote it doesn't lock and the strap moves. It does lock, just push down the release tab, click, locked.
Also there have been some comments about the rear snaplock not locking like the older flows, this is kind of true, there is no tab that gets pinched holding the snaplock in place, there are two cams/bumps that ride over each other, not as secure, but I like being able to open them easier, and it would have to be a wierd fall to flex your boot forward and have something catch the snaplock just right.

Comments about Flow NX2-AT Snowboard Bindings 2013:

I just upgraded from 2011 NXT-AT bindings and love the upgrades they have provided. They sit quite a bit taller than previous so some issues with folding them down for transportation - but nothing serious. They also slightly changed the base plate location and now my toes stick over further than I would like - but I've been able to adjust to the new layout. The new LSR ratchets are a nice way to easily adjust after you slide in and make that final tweak.

I've been using Flow for 10 years+. And these are more controllable, better fitting than past iterations. Love the adjustment they have and the increased 'stretch' they do when stepping in and out.

Bought Gnu Mutants before this & they weren't as good. Failed after 2 days of boarding -- so back to Flow I went. And what a nice difference.

Comments about Flow NX2-AT Snowboard Bindings 2013:

I upgraded to these from a set of Flow bindings I'd had for almost 10yrs so there was a bit of adjustment needed on my part. However, as I've used them more, I am beginning to feel to love - the are super-responsive and I just need to eventually work out the optimal ratchet/tightening position and I will be good for another 10 yrs (hopefully). My only criticism is that they don't slide in as easily as my old ones... sometimes I have to lift the toe strap a bit to force my toe far enough into the binding before snapping the binding shut.

These bindings seem well constructed but I wasn't able to get in/out of them in my size 13 Burton boots well at all. I had to un-ratchet to get in to the bindings and ratchet back up to tighten them. Which goes against the whole point of having flows. Plus, who wants to own a binding without a separated toe strap in 2013?

Comments about Flow NX2-AT Snowboard Bindings 2013:

After years of using regular bindings I finally decided to try out Flows.

And I'm really glad that I did. The speed of entry makes all the difference. I was pretty quick at getting regular bindings on (never any sitting down) but these still beat them by far. I'm ready before my ski friends have a chance to adjust their polls. :)

And they hold really well. I felt like I had very good control, as good or better than my regular bindings with toe cap.

The only thing that is a bit difficult with these is getting them set up just right. Don't try to ratchet them down so tight or it'll be more difficult to get in them. It took me a couple of days to get the setup just right, but after that, everything was good.

I also went with the Large (and I'm 11.5) so the fit is a little tight and needed a lot of adjustment to get it to where my boot went in easily. But I did get it right finally. If you have large feet, I'd suggest going with the XL as the initial setup will probably be easier and fit better.

Overall though, a fantastic binding! I'm certainly glad that I took a chance on them.

Comments about Flow NX2-AT Snowboard Bindings 2013:

I am just a beginner really and was worried about he stiffness and responsiveness of these bindings. Actually, these are much easier than the triple strap burton bindings I got with the board I had.

I found that if I don't adjust them to be very very tight then it is easier for me to get into the bindings and there is a small amount of predictable play that makes it slightly less responsive. I other words you can adjust the responsiveness to what you need to a degree.

Although these bindings are supposed to be a bit more inflexible, I weigh about 190 lbs and didn't find them to be too stiff.

I paired these with an Rome SDS Garage Rocker with a 4 rating and this really allows for quite a bit more play than my old stiff board. I find I can really progress without catching an edge. The easy in is really really nice on our smaller hills we have in Michigan. You get up and down the mountain so quickly that it is nice to not waste time strapping in.
All in all, a well designed product of great quality.
I look forward to streching out its capabilities if I can.

These bindings have a slightly different feel than traditional bindings but it's not a bad thing. They are still very responsive and the entry is quick and easy as long as you are standing. My only complaint about these bindings is that they are almost impossible to put on if you are sitting down. It gets a little more difficult when you are trying to strap in while in powder.

Comments about Flow NX2-AT Snowboard Bindings 2013:

I used the Flows for the first time ever snowboarding. I really enjoy the comfort and tightness. The reason I can't give this product 5 stars is that while the adjustability has improved with free not-locked boot straps I found that after every lift ride the straps would end up getting pushed down so my entry into the binding always involved two steps of FIRST loosening the strap and THEN slipping my boot in. The NASTY system was supposed to create a faster entry/exit into the binding but now with the unlocked boot strap it defeats the purpose. Maybe next year they will figure it out. This has not stopped me from using the bindings and they are a clear upgrade from my last pair. I loved riding them once I figured out that I couldn't just slip in and out of them without messing with the straps EVERY TIME.

The only con I have to say about it is that in order to adjust the angles on the bindings you have to take off a cover on it. It makes sense why they put it there for comfort and support, but it is still a bit annoying if you want to adjust it on the mountain. I have to wait till next season to use them, but I think I will be very happy with the upgrade from my Fives

Definitely a stiff setup, but gives you all the response you need. Once you get the fit dialed in, you are good to go. I unclick a few notches at the bottom of the hill on the front straps before I get on the lift. When strapping in at the top, those get tightened up again for a tight fit all the way down.

Definitely a well thought out binding, would recommend to anyone who has some skill up their sleeve. A beginner might complain they are heavy and not forgiving, but I think they're good to go especially on a lighter board.

I was skeptical to purchase such an expensive product, but now that I've used the Flow NX2-AT bindings, I realize that it was a wise purchase. They are so much faster than traditional bindings and they are built to take abuse from the park and tight turning. They are easy to maintain but are hard to get in unless you are on a flat slope.

Comments about Flow NX2-AT Snowboard Bindings 2013:

I don't know if I'm doing it wrong, but in order for me to get into the second binding I have to either find something to hold onto while I jam my foot in, or get onto my knees.

Here's why: Once you have one foot in, you can't get the second one in while standing up without starting to slide.

Furthermore, if you're cranked down your bindings to be nice and tight on your boots, you won't be able to generate enough force to get your second boot while sliding without dumping over.

For me, I'll think I'm in, but won't be able to get the backplate up (since my heel will be in the way).

So, I pop on my knees, loosen up the toe strap a tiny bit, jam my toe in, flip up the backplate, crank down the toe strap, pop up and start riding.

I'm still definitely faster than my friends in non-flow bindings...but this kind of defeats the purpose as I was hoping to stay off the snow and get right to riding.

Also, it's good to know that these are made of metal - they're not just painted to look like it. As such, they're very substantial/solid feeling...although that adds a bit of weight to them.

These are perfect bindings for those that are looking for a good step in binding. I am able to strap up while on the lift to the top. Not an easy feat considering I'm 6'5'' but still extremely doable. My friends were very envious of me riding down the slope directly from the lift while they had to wait for a seat on the bench. Bindings are pretty stiff and responsive. They are pretty easy to install for someone who has installed bindings before. Definitely happy with my purchase and have zero regrets.

Attached these binding to a LibTech Dark Series. Heavy board and heavy bindings make for a lot of work. That said, I do like the bindings. Easy in from a standing position. Never felt loose. Previously I rode Cartels. Much happier with the Flows.
