Bought these to replace first pair of Flow F11s. Wow, the design and construction definitely has improved since that first pair, and now is flexible and form fitting so it molds to your boot, similar to a traditional strap binding. With that change and a thinner bottom plate that brings your boot closer to the board the Gem binding increases control of the board and makes turning and speed effortless. The Gems are lighter and way more adjustable than my old bindings, e.g the toes and front of the ankle can be tightened down to your own comfort level, which was more difficult with old Flows. One problem with this though is the toe stays really tight and is difficult to release at times and once bound my boot when I got it too tight. Ouch! The other con I gave low on enty/exit because the highback is very tight and a bit harder to get in and out of. The lock is extremely tight to release and you have to apply tremendous pressure to get it undone. However, it was better the second trip I made with these and probably will get better over time but still takes a while to break in and killed my palms when opening it. Overall a very good binding that offers great control and flexibility for all mountain riding. The green pair I got also are very stylish if that is a consideration.

I loved the look of the bindings. The entry is harder than expected. Unsure if it's my boots or that it's really that hard. On my second time using them the front strap on the binding snapped and I was on the hunt on our trip for a new strap. Which we found out flow straps are custom an regular replacement binding straps won't fit. So if possibly purchase extra straps. Other than that issue very stylish!

Love these bindings. They replaced my burton stilettos. Now I can strap in faster than my skier friends can get their gear on. In the past flow bindings were heavy, these are hardly more weight than my previous bindings!

Comments about Flow Gem Snowboard Bindings - Women's 2013:

I bought these as a gift for my gf and one of the only reason I'm not rating these five stars is that my gf hasn't used them yet. Installation was easy and the build quality is nice. She also thought they were cute and she wanted flows because I use flow bindings and she liked how easy it was to get in and out of the bindings. My only complaint is that when we tested them, it was a bit difficult to release the highback and on the mountain it might give her some trouble. Other than that, these were a great buy, especially for the price.

Comments about Flow Gem Snowboard Bindings - Women's 2013:

I had my last set of FLOW bindings 5 years before a cable snapped and I needed new ones.

Once you get the settings dialed in, they are so quick to get off lift and pop your foot in, snap and go. Often I'm waiting for my skier friends to adjust their boots and poles!

They also do not have so much tight pressure on toes and feet like traditional bindings.

Its difficult to get in and out of. The back release seems logical but for a beginner - I feel there might be a better fit.
