I have the 2009 Flow Essence bindings. These bindings are very comfortable and provide good support for both freeriding and riding in the park. Make sure you really size them up to your boots before you head to the mountain otherwise you may have some difficulty getting in and out. Once dialed in they will be no trouble at all. Also the hardware seems to strip easily so make sure you have the right size tools otherwise you might be stuck with some stripped screws. All in all a great binding.

These bindings were a HUGE pain in the butt. There was NO easy way IN OR OUT of these bindings. Stepping out of the back was impossible if you had the straps tightened. And I could not loosen the straps while on the mountain!! I even had guy friends with me who would push and tug at them without success. They held me and my friends up to an unacceptable degree. I literally had to sit on my butt and let someone struggle to release the back and then rip the bindings off of my foot. The same was true at the top of the slopes, trying to get my foot back in. DO NOT BUY!!! ALSO, adjusting the tilt could not be done on the mountain. The little wheel would freeze up in the snow. I had to go back inside and let them warm up to adjust!! I thought maybe they just needed to be "broken in." I used them for seven days before with NO improvement. Wish I could return them and get my money back!!

Comments about Flow Essence Snowboard Bindings - Women's 2009:

Ratchet buckles are terrible. Incredibly difficult to adjust and move to the unlock position. Granted in theory one should not need to regularly adjust this binding once it's dialed. But the four ratchets on each binding do not work well.

I will say good construction. Flow figured away to shed the weight. Weight seemed to be on par with other comparable bindings.

My biggest beef was with how difficult it was to adjust the binding to your boot. I found also found the rear entry to be more challenging than traditional top style entry.

    Service and delivery comments:

Service price delivery all very good.

The design of the bindings provide quick entry so you don't get your butt wet trying to clip traditional bindings on. The responsiveness of the bindings is second to none...I have got all my friend to buy Flow b/c of my ease of entry.

Comments about Flow Essence Snowboard Bindings - Women's 2009:

This was my first experience with owning Flow binders, and purchased them for the ease of use factor. Unfortunately the Flow Essence has a ratchet system that was spawned by a collaboration between a drunken engineer and the Beelzebub himself, making the day of riding I had on them miserable. Returned them as soon as possible.

Comments about Flow Essence Snowboard Bindings - Women's 2009:

I bought these binding for ease of use, step in and out and I can't step in and out. I wear a size 7 boot and have a medium binding yet I cannot step into the binding once adjusted. I have to losen both front and middle buckles to get my foot out of the binding. The rear latch is also a pain. When it's open if not opened and flattened you can't get the binding open far enough (runs into the snow) to get your foot out. They get easier with continued use but I still have to losen to get my foot in and out which I was under the impression this product eliminated the need for that. They are well built.

Comments about Flow Essence Snowboard Bindings - Women's 2009:

This binding provides great support but is very difficult to get on and off. If you don't mind your bindings not being tight then this would be a great product for you! However, to get them to be as tight as I wanted them to be I had to re-set up the while binding every time I got off the lift which is really time consuming especially since the binding is designed to stay put on one desired tightness.
