Burton Burton Scribes EST Snowboard Bindings - New Demo - Women's 2014

The Burton Scribe EST Snowboard Binding is a value-packed binding great for all mountain riding. Working exclusively with Burton's Channel mounting system, the Scribe EST offers top notch board feel and limitless stance options. With a women's specific True Fit™ design, super light Living Hinge™ hi-back and park specific Asym Superstrap™ and Primo Capstrap™, it's a great choice for ladies looking to step their game up in the park as well as the rest of the mountain .
Flex
Flex Rating: 5 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - Medium flex that blends freestyle freedom with carving performance
Baseplate
EST® - Removing the baseplate from beneath the rider's feet and replacing it with a variety of customizable cushioning systems allows for a realm of comfort and board control that can't be matched, and can only be experienced with Burton boards featuring The Channel.

Single-Component 30% Short-Glass / Nylon Composite - Slightly more responsive than the Park Blend yet still plenty playful
SensoryBED™ Cushioning - An elevated realm of cushioning, board feel, and extra-sensory control in a versatile, shred-everything package
Straps
Superstrap™ - 3D® Curved, Triple axis spine with NeoPadding
Primo Capstrap™ - 3D® curved, triple axis spine and grip fit
Smooth Glide™ Buckles - Lightweight aluminum and lightweight polycarbonate levers give you season after season of buttery smooth and reliable ratcheting power.
Highback
Single-Component Gumbo Hi-Back with MicroFLAD™ - Stiff highbacks suck on rails. But the skate-style alternative has been urethane, which changes its flex as air temps ride and fall. Burton's formulated solution is the Gumbo Hi-Back, made with more pliable ingredients that maintain the same extra soft flex whether it's a single digits day or slushy session.

Additional Features
Women's-Specific True Fit™ Design - Enjoy a more harmonious connection with Burton's True Fit™ women's boards, boots, and bindings. True Fit™ means that every piece of your set up - from boot liners to lace guides, baseplate to strap designs, board shapes to flex profiles - has been designed and engineered for the way women ride. Because when it fits right, it rides better.

Specs

  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
