Comments about Burton Infidel Snowboard Bindings 2010:

I wasn't sure about these at first; to me they were an ugly duckling with a weird growth on the highback. But being a good natured person, I took them in and gave them a home on my board. And so far, they have been developing into a beautiful swan.

For the most part, I am usually content with whatever gear I ride, so I don't care what bindings I have as long as the board is fun and I can butter down the hill. But these have nice ratchets and they are a really good blend of stiffness and comfort.

The highback piece didn't really seem to help in pressing. I am not the best at pressing in general, but I wasn't exactly peanut buttering down the mountain because of the little piece on my calf. It didn't get in the way, but didn't really do much to help. Kind of like a turtleneck, but less annoying and I don't get beat up for having it.

Only issue I had with fit is that I have a 10.5 boot (old Burton boot) that is kind of like a kid that ate chocolate for a year - reminding me of John the fat kid on my street as a kid. He was good natured and soft, but he just wasn't the best to play cops and ninjas with unless he played a sumo wrestler. So the toe strap doesn't seem to hold super-tight when I strap in. This is also more a problem of my dumb boot, but still it took some getting used to.

Other than that, fun in the park and any all mountain riding I've done. They seem durable and the straps are cushy.

If anything, they colors are rad. Steez points for sure, you can't beat that with a ten foot pole.
