I think the bag is nice, but I haven't traveled with it. I have a 159 K2 board, but it fits well even though it's advertised as 158 - and the extra pouch on the front is nice if you want to stuff some things in it. The problem I have is that when I opened up the package for my bag, it looks different. The K2 is reversed and it's gray, not black. So, they probably gave me either an older or newer version of the bag.

For the price of this bag, I guess it's decent. When I ordered the 158cm for my 158cm board, I can put the board into the bag, and that's it. Nothing else can put in. Also, there's nearly no padding on the bag even though the name is a padded bag. There's just a green color plastic layer inside. I'll probably spend money to get a more expensive bag for traveling with my snowboard gears.

Eh. Not a bad day bag

Comments about K2 Padded Snowboard Bag:

This bag is definitely a bit misnamed. As far as padded? Not much. It's a little more than a sleeve. I misunderstood it to be padded a little more than it is. The ends of the bag definitely need to be reinforced if you plan to travel through the airlines. The material really can't hold up to the edge of the board very well. I did manage to fit a 159 into a 158 bag with boots, bindings, coat and pants. It was tight, but I managed. I have another that I put a 155 in a 158 bag and that left plenty of room for goodies, but again the ends got slashed open from airline handling. I will be getting a coffin style from now on for any airline travel, but if you are just tossing your boards in the back of the truck or on the roof, go for it. Just pad the nose and tail so it wont slice it open.

Quality bag with thin padding

Comments about K2 Padded Snowboard Bag:

Overall reasonable quality. Nice layer of pudding on the edges and the base of the board. Top of the board is a little thinner but hoping will be enough to take on a plane.

Comments about K2 Padded Snowboard Bag:

Great space but bord edge ripped through padding to exterior on second flight. Poor luggage handling or poor construction...a bit of both.

Good space, lousy padding

Comments about K2 Padded Snowboard Bag:

I found this bag to have nice space for stuffing additional gear/clothes but was disappointed to find my snowboard edge cut right through the padding to the exterior of the bag on it's second time on the plane. Poor luggage handling or poor construction? A bit of both I think.

Excellent padded board bag for travel!!

Comments about K2 Padded Snowboard Bag:

After some thorough, almost to an absurd level, research into getting a new board bag that would be suitable for travel, I finally decided on this one. The padding is sufficient for most airline travel, albeit not the padding of a hardcase. It's easy to carry and has plenty of room to fit boots, helmet, bindings, and some outer and inner layers are good to cover the ends of board just in case it gets bumped or dropped. It's made of some gnarly 600D nylon to withstand even the most ratchet bag bruisers throwing it around. The front zipper pocket is great to stash gloves, beanies, and a few essential tools. At this price it's tough to be the quality K2 provides. Get this bag!!!

Comments about K2 Padded Snowboard Bag:

Fits a snowboard nicely, and padded to protect your deck. Seems durable. Advertised as right for 168cm boards, but might be a tight fit. My 162 fits well.

No complaints about the bag yet. I did expect more padding but only time will tell how well the bag works.

Comments about K2 Padded Snowboard Bag:

I am using this bag to carry my 161cm k2 raygun to that sweet, sweet pow that we all yearn for. Does the job well so far and looks smooth and slick....sort of like the icy groomers on dat dere east coast. No matter that's neither here nor there. Great bag, 10/10 would bang again.
