Volkl Wall Skis 2012: Hi my name is the Wall; you may recognize me from such places as the X Games podium with Russ Henshaw or urban assault missions with Ahmet Dadali. The Volkl Wall Skis are for the serious park rider who wants the best. It features a fully symmetrical sidecut of 115-87-115 for swing weight, a full Multi-Layer Sensorwood and Power/Toughbox with a full camber shape that will boost you over the largest of features.
Shape
Full Camber is for skiers who still enjoy the feel of traditional camber. While not as silky-smooth as a rockered ski, full camber provides stability and acceleration for skiers wanting a more classic ride quality.
Symmetrical Sidecut allows the park and pipe rider the best possible performance by allowing a center-mounted ski to perform the same while riding switch or forward. It also allows completely even balance for rail and in the air. .
Construction
Powered by Carbon
Tough Box construction features a Multi-Layer wood core wrapped with a Composite/Fiberglass sheath to create the ultimate resilience and snap for freeskiing models. Surrounding the core in the mid-body of the ski, it adds snap, strength and binding screw retention.
Flex
Multi-Layer Wood Core has two different densities of wood. In the binding attachment area, a dense, Ash core is used, while in the rest of the ski, the core is Poplar. The more dense wood creates secure screw retention and stability, while the softer poplar section allows for resilience and snap. The flex pattern can be tailored to each ski model to match the desired performance characteristics.
Sensorwood Core is CNC milled using vertically laminated wood.
Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.

Comments about Volkl Wall Skis 2012:

great ski, really really smooth ride when your headed in for a hit and it wont bang out on landings. good for rails as well. it works really well in any conditions, icey or gnarly, it can handle it. they are also pretty fast, even when carving, you cant loose speed easily with these things, but you still have one sweet ride.
