Volkl Unlimited Ac50 Skis + Marker Ipt Wide Ride 14.0 D Bindings 2010: The Unlimited AC50 is yet another example of how Motion iPT Wide Ride brings the versatility of wide, big mountain skis to a new height. Its shape sounds wide, but when paired with the iPT Wide Ride, it’s incredibly nimble. For good skiers who like to bust through the crud and cruise through powder, yet still have a ski that can truly rip the groomers, the AC50 paired with the iPT Wide Ride system is the best solution Volkl has ever offered.

  • Core:Extended Sensorwood Core made from poplar and beech woods give the AC50 extra resilience on all types of terrain. 2 sheets of titanium add strength without weight
  • Construction:Extended Double Grip: Dual chambers extend from tip to tail, providing more support for the edges, and enabling the ideal distribution of pressure to the snow.
  • Shape:Wide enough for the deepest of snow conditions, yet still narrow enough for the groomed terrain.
  • iPT Wide Ride:Wide Ride was developed specifically for skis 80mm. The interface is 30% wider than the original iPT and the toe and heel pieces are the same design as those of the Marker Duke and Jester. The new components contribute to better performance with a more secure wrap on the boot lug, and increased directional elasticity in the heel. Get the security and hold of a wide binding with the maneuverability and weight of a narrow binding. DIN 5-14

Comments about Volkl Unlimted Ac50 Skis + Marker Ipt Wide Ride 14.0 D Bindings 2010:

The acceleration out of turns is remarkable with this ski. It is stable, yet responsive. Set the edge hard and you better be tied on or you will get launched. This ski coils and strikes like a snake. It is as good in the crud as it is on the groomers and with its wide cut tip, powers through the powder like a train on a rail. So glad I found this ski after ten years of riding demos looking for that perfect combination of power and precision.

Comments about Volkl Unlimted Ac50 Skis + Marker Ipt Wide Ride 14.0 D Bindings 2010:

I ski in Portland, Oregon (Mt. Hood) and these skis are GREAT for those icy days and the crud after the runs get tracked up. In crud, it literally feels like you're going down a groomer.

Not good for moguls, they want to carve everything. I'm pretty heavy (about 260 lbs), so these don't give me as much float as I might like, probably more a consequence of how much the earth likes me more than a consequence of the designs of these skis.

I highly recommend these skis.
