Traditional camber construction for added edgehold on hardpack and stability at high speeds
Construction
The unique Motion iPT interface allows Volkl to further develop its signature Double Grip construction, creating Extended Double Grip. The added height extends from tip to tail, placing more material where it‘s needed to support the edges. Extended Double Grip has the most consistent pressure distribution of any construction Volkl has ever created, offering more control, and better performance.
A thin yet extremely strong layer of aluminum alloy extends its unparalleled dampening properties particularly at high speeds.
Binding Compatibility
The Volkl iPT 11.0 TC Bindings feature a wider interface than the original iPT, plus the Triple Pivot Comfort toe, based on the Triple Pivot Elite toe of Marker‘s Royal Family bindings. Shorter and lighter than the four linkage toe of the past, it offers enhanced power transmission.
Core and Flex Pattern
The Extended Sensorwood Core is created in a complex CNC milling process, which enables Volkl to produce wood cores with extreme precision. They are “extended” upward and lengthwise, milled to form the chambers of the Extended Double Grip construction. The core consists of a blend of poplar and beech wood, and is found inside Volkl's highest performing models.
