Intermediate skier looking to upgrade skis, these Volkl's absolutely hit the mark for me. Smooth ride and great cutting ability. I'll buy the updated model 3 years from now.

These Ski's are all that I expected and then some! The progressive edge technology allows easy turning and control on all terrain.

These are marketed as beginner/intermediate skis and they virtually turn by themselves, no question. What really surprised me is that they feel quite at home and stable at higher speeds too, which was unexpected given their smooth ride. I covered anything from blues to double blacks on day one and never felt they were not up to the task. Excellent carvers and feather light, these will keep you on the slopes much longer than you expect. Almost no high speed "chatter" common in other cheap/entry level skis. Don't expect extreme grip on icy slopes or effortless floating in deep powder, but given their tip-waist-tail geometry, they were never meant to excel there.

You can't tell from the pictures, but the top sheet is also textured so it does not scratch easily. Maybe it's just me, but in a sea of over-the-top designs in outrageous colors, I love the black.

The rail system for the bindings is also everything you've come to expect from rail systems: I installed them myself in (no exaggeration) about 10 minutes (note: it is always recommended to get these installed by a trained professional).

In short: I absolutely love these and I would buy them all over again.
