Product Details

Rocker Type

Tip and Tail RockerA slight rocker bend in the tip and tail, complemented by traditional camber under foot. This slight rocker profile, combined with classic camber gives you the ideal blend for frontside carving. Easy, smooth turn entry and exit, with acceleration and rebound as well. While not as maneuverable in soft snow as Völkl's full rocker designs, this rocker design works well on hard snow or in the park and pipe.

Core

Multi-Layer SensorwoodCreated in a complex CNC milling process, a highly sophisticated milling program enables Völkl to produce wood cores with extreme precision. It is 'extended' upwards and lengthwise, and milled to form chambers for the vertical sidewalls and torsion box. The material is a blend of poplar and beech wood, and is found in Völkl's highest performing models.

Additional Features

Tough Box ConstructionTough Box Construction features a multi-layered wood core wrapped with a composite/fiberglass sheath to create the ultimate resilience and snap for Völkl’s freeskiing models. Surrounding the core in the mid-body of the ski, it adds snap, strength and binding screw retention.

Binding Compatibility

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Comments about Volkl Ledge Skis 2014:

I ski park with 70-30 rails over jumps, I've skied them over 25 days already of repeated rail sessions and the edges have not failed me yet. The topsheet cracks a little easier than I wanted but no delam at all. Light, buttery and the graphics are super dope and get all the heads turning. Best ski for the price period(be sure to grind down edges before hitting rails).

Comments about Volkl Ledge Skis 2014:

These skis were a giant let down. They are the least durable ski you could buy. The only good thing is the weight. They are super unstable at high speeds, i would recommend not hitting a jump with these at all. On rails, the bases suck, also they don't hold a wax...they are light and have a good swing weight making it easy to spin off rails, but these are my least favorite ski on the market. Basically i see kids all over the place with these, thinking they are good because nick goepper skis for Volkl, but they suck. DONT BUY!

Comments about Volkl Ledge Skis 2014:

I was really happy about these skis at first when I first got them. They are good performance skis on the park and all mountian. But this ski will not las you very long. Halfway through the season my skis were just wrecked. Half o the side edge fell off , and they were peeling a lot too. If you are no going to do park very much then this is a great all mountian ski with good carving.

Comments about Volkl Ledge Skis 2014:

I bought these skis for the blue bird Colorado days where we haven't gotten snow in a little bit. These skis handle speed, trees, the park and any feature I jump off of. They have very little chatter at high speeds (surprising). The top sheet is prevalent to nicks and scratches (not a big deal to me).

Comments about Volkl Ledge Skis 2014:

Great skis i would definitely recommend them for people who ski park and just downhill skis. I've been spending most of my time in the park with them and its just a really nice smooth ride. the only problem i have with them is when the edge of one ski catches the top of the other the top sheet frays. It hasn't affected anything though.

Pretty good park ski, lightweight and easy to spin and butter. Lasted for about a month before one ski snapped in half. Top sheet chips easily.
