Product Info

With the fullly rockered and super wide Volkl Kuro Skis, you’ll have total control in powder or on piste. The Kuro Skis are built with the thickness to float through powder drifts and dominate at every turn. Claiming king of the pow is easy, but the Kuros can also hold one hell of an edge on hardpack, making any and every terrain under your command.

Product Details

Full Rocker is a smooth, gradual bend from tip to tail with matching sidecut and flex. The Extended Low Profile of Full Rocker gives the skier all the benefits of added maneuverability in soft snow while also delivering smooth, graceful arcs on groomed terrain. It gives you full, uninterrupted edge contact for uncanny smoothness and predictability.

Multi-layer Sensorwood is CNC milled using vertically laminated Poplar and Beech wood.

Power/Tough Box Powered by Titanium is Volkl’s longest-running construction that utilizes traditional vertical sidewalls and a torsion box internal layup. This construction provides tremendous grip, stability, and a smooth ride.

Comments about Volkl Kuro Skis 2013:

After 3 seasons on previous "non" metal Kuro's, I was very disappointed in this years version. Heavy, unresponsive, "aircraft carrier" are terms that come to mind with this ski. Too bad because the original, without metal, was the best powder ski ever.

Comments about Volkl Kuro Skis 2013:

The Kuro has added metal around the edges for increased stability. It adds more weight to an already heavy ski but the ski is stable at any turn size. I think it's perfect for those who love Volkl but want something for when it's deep. Even on the groomed this ski was awesome but where it was the most fun was deep snow that you could utilize the slightly pintail shape for surfy turns and shutting down speed as needed
