Volkl Aura Skis 2010: The Volkl Aura is a big mountain ski specially designed for women looking to rip on both groomed and backcountry runs. The 94mm waist provides ample float in the pow for those epic days when the clouds pour faster than elderly bladder control.
- Core and Flex Pattern:Sensorwood Light Core: The women’s specific Aura uses strips of lighter weight wood and 2 sheets of titanium, giving the core 20% less weight and 20% softer flex.
- Construction:Power Construction: Völkl's longest-running construction utilizes traditional vertical sidewalls and a torsion box internal layup. Featured in Race Stock skis as well as all Freeskiing models, this construction provides tremendous grip, stability, and sensitivity when combined with the Sensorwood core.
- Shape:A round overall shape allows easy smearing and speed control without sacrificing the tracking characteristics and firm snow performance.
- Binding Compatibility:Requires brake width of at least 90mm
